Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who played all of 13 minutes for the Rockets earlier this year, was waived by Toronto yesterday. Signed in the offseason by Houston, Pops saw significant action in pre-season, but saw little time once the regular season started. His best game for Houston was on 11/10 against Dallas, where he had 4 points in 3 minutes.

    Lock if already posted.

Damn. He is a solid player... Someone like Portland should scoop him up...

Actually that would be great for him and Portland.

    ^^

I agree, they need some bigs, and he plays with some explosiveness.

The Raptors were better with Pops on the floor instead of Bargniani. Someone will pick him up.

I like how people here keeping pretending Pops is good because he can jump high. Meanwhile, teams keep dumping him.

In fairness to him, the Raptors do want him back. His big weaknesses are he isn't exceptionally tall, and he is very limited on offense.

Guys he's been cut twice this season already. Both times by great talent assessors. He obviously isn't that good..

Great for him until he succumbs to the Portland curse and goes down with a season-ending injury.
