In the Twin Cities there's only one Popeye's Fried Chicken and for some reason I decided to stop by there for lunch. I always associate Popeye's with Houston even though its a Loisiana based chain. Anyone else think of Popeye's as a taste of Houston?
Popeye's is pretty good. KFC has better chicken, but Popeye's has the best side dishes and biscuits. I can eat that dirty rice all day long... Popeye's has really good shrimp, too...
Was not impressed with their chicken. Not even a little bit. The best fried chicken was from Grandy's. Man it pisses me off that they dont have any of those anymore. One of the only places you could get sweet tea as well. I'm surprised that sweet tea is not a bigger deal in Houston.
Of the three chain fried chicken restaurants, I like Church's the best. It's simple. But these days I try not to eat much fried chicken.
is there a Frenchys left in H-Town???? Where? Timmy Chans is Bout It!!! 8 WINGS + BISCUT + FRIED RICE = $4.99
You sure you graduated? I thought "Eat Frenchy's While Drunk at 3AM" was a required course at U of H?
