I just added T-zones to my Samsung E106 phone and wanna get some new ringtones.
If I get them through T-mobile, my provider, it doesn't let you preview them. You download them and get charged $1.49.

I did a yahoo search and all those other ringtones sites are simply confusing, some include calling the UK, some you have to buy a sort of membership etc...

Anyone know where I can just find a ringtone, preview it and buy it easily and hassle free?

I'm working on that same issue right now. There's a thing called WAP, whatever that is, that has something to do with a server force-connecting itself to your phone and issuing you a ringtone or whatever. Then there's some software you can get for free that might allow you to do that yourself. I've only heard about these things, I haven't found anything more on them yet. But any info would be welcomed here as well.

    Have you used it?
    Have you registered?
You have to register and give them your cell number which I'm leary of.
Other than that its a great site that serves a TON of phones.

    thanks

Got refered to it by a friend.

Then I found out my damned phone can't download ringtones.

    Oh well :(

It's a pretty big site with a good rep, otherwise people wouldn't use it I guess.

www.zingy.com for all your ringtone needs! :) I love this place, I use them a lot and they let you preview them on the website. Make sure to send one of the test ringtones first.

I joined Zingy two nights ago.
Got 20 bucks worth of credits.
Comes out to about .80cents per ringtone or wallpaper.
You can also upload your own pics to your phone as wall paper through them. (Funky artwork, pics of your kids, pets whatever)
If your phone doesn't send pics to other phones, you can do that too!

Not bad, not bad at all.
    Thanks again guys.

    *Downloaded 50cent, "If I can't"...ah-haaaa! I love it! :D

    R' Us:

If you have some sort of internet access ability on your phone where you can type in any web address, just go to http://www.myphonefiles.com (on your PC first) and set up an account. It works like a Yahoo briefcase in that you can upload 500 kB of whatever.

Then you can just go on Kazaa and search "Nokia MIDI" and you should be able to find this one zip file that I did with around 7,000 MIDI ringtones. Just look through these and take what you want (most phones won't let you download anything over 20 kB though), then upload them to your myphonefiles "WAP locker." That will allow you to go to myphonefiles.com on your phone browser, and once you log in, you can access and download all of the uploaded files.

Oh, and if the MIDI's don't start at the point that you would like your ringer to, you can also download a program called Ringtone Workshop where you can edit the volume, length, pitch, etc. This program is cool too because if you find a serial crack to it you can set up your own WAP locker that will let you pull stuff straight off of your computer.

But if you don't have free-browsing internet access on your phone, you're pretty much destined to have to pay for ringtones. What kind of phone/carrier do you have?
