Poll:Who should the Stros pursue?

i'd most like to see Manny here. but it all depends on the price.

Tejada is far and away the easy choice here. Equal production to Manny with less baggage, he's younger, he plays SS (very well at that), and he's the best fit for this team in my opinion. Easiest call I've made all day.

you don't mean this at the plate, alone, do you?

 

There is more value in a great hitting SS because that position is usually a weak hitter. I would rather add Tejada and Mench to the lineup over adding Manny and keeping Everett.

 

Yeah, i do. But RBI wise, not in terms of power. They are both RBI machines that this team desperately needs. Tejada offers more overall, so it was an easy call for me.

Oh, and the Astros then can say that they DO sign Black players, only to turn out that Tejada is Hispanic

As for D-Train, I could care less what color he's, bring him over whatever it takes, the kid is a freakin' stud!

I'd vote for Tejada, an offensive shortstop is a nice luxury to have and he's got a high production-over-replacement-level value. Manny's contract is a negative.

 

Tony Womack. That guy is a beast at the plate. The prototypical #4 hitter.

Caberra if hes outs there but I doubt he is. So Tejada he'd look great in an Astro uniform

If all fails than go for Mench which would be a nice pick up.

I don't really want to see Manny here after I thought about it. Hes a great player but I really dislike players who bring attention like he does. Its probaly Bagwells last season and also Biggio is chasing 3,000. I want to enjoy that rather than worry about if Manny is going to act up.
