With our huge group of young players now is the time to use our draft capital to put us over the top.

Why now? The goal for the season is just make the playin. A lot of the old teams are in the twilight if their career why we need to join them in their mad rush for their last glory? This is why the Lakers are smart they removed their deadline by getting Luka.

I wouldnt mind a consolidation trade but it has to be for someone young not someone old.

I meant now or in the off-season. Obviously we couldn't trade for Cooper Flagg right now.

Cleverly disguised Jalen Green is not the franchise player thread.

oh, okay. He hasn’t even filled out and he’s already improved a ton with more to come.

Jalen and whatever for a real shooting guard is the correct answer. He's getting to a point though where he holds almost no value as an actual prospect and is more of a salary filler. If I'm Minnesota or Phoenix and see Jalen Green in the trade I think I'd rather just have more picks or try to pry literally anyone else off the team.

    Kinda like Jordan Poole.

Nah. If you read most my posts, I like Jalen just like Amen, Sengun, and Jabari more and he is probably our 3rd most valuable trade piece. I know it's a pipedream, but I would trade every pick I could muster for either Ant or Flagg. Amen 22, Jabari 21, Tari 23, Sengun 22, Jalen 22, Cam 20. Then Ant at 23 or Flagg at 19 or 20. What would we need with draft picks for the next 5 years?

Do you even know who has Coop Flagg now?

    Nope.

6 FRPs could still end up being with quantity below Flagg.

If only the Rockets gotten into the Luka sweepstakes without losing Amen...or Alpe.

I am a fan of deserving Number 1 picks so yup.

No, it was a hypothetical after the lottery. Say Washington won the lottery. Would they take 6 frps and Jalen or Jabari for the first pick? I doubt it, but for the Rockets I would in a second.

No fan of Booker, count me in on Flagg, Dybantsa, Cam Boozer train.

But if I were the other team, would run from players like Green and Jabari.

I'd rather have Flagg since he plays defense. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't put all my chips on Luka. We better hope SA doesn't have a lottery pick, because the NBA will award them Flagg.

It is my theory that Dallas got Luka fat as Houston got Harden fat.

You are right that maybe a change of a scenery will aid him....I am on team Luker is underappreciated.

I picked trade Sengun option for 6 draft picks

I'd rather have the Dereck Lively or Kel'el Ware types that roll high to the rim for lobs and protect the basket
    above the rim.

Pulling one fancy pass a game out of a Centers @$$ doesn't impress me much.

Its the old chicken or the egg conundrum. If you trade Sengun now with no shooters where does your offense come from. We've also seen how well Sengun has been playing defense and he and Jabari fit like a glove when both are healthy. Using those 6 picks on our weakness with a Cooper Flagg (unrealistic) or Ant (more realistic) would do more to make us a contender for the next decade.

Flagg looks to be a real stud, but I think if we wanted to keep a higher percentage chance at him specifically we would not have flopped our draft picks like we did. He looks like the real deal, but I also could see him taking a minute to adjust to the NBA level.

We have young players that’s true, but they are showing us consistently night in a night out that they are pretty damn talented. I don’t know about adding another younger player to that grouping. I think it’s necessary to add an older star type. I just don’t know if that sort of player is available. The guys that might move tomorrow are on the too old end of the spectrum. I would still acquire them, but I wouldn’t go crazy.

The only untouchable for me is Amen.

Tier below that includes Alpi, Green and Reed.

Booker is the only one who's actually available for the right deal. Ant isn't getting traded, and I don't understand how Flagg comes into play as a trade option.

Unfortunately, JG'll probably never be as good as Booker. I would just trade him before things get even more ugly.

Rockets should trade for 2 players that fit their timeline + style of play.

    Zion + Lonzo

Both are also lower value for injury issues but they perfectly fit the high octane transition offense, Ime defense, REB centric Rockets.

Cam Johnson as elite 3P shooter is also a no brainer trade but Rockets FO are satisfied with Fred, DB + Jalen as beyond arc snipers.

Teams won't let guys like Ant go. They will trade everyone else to make them happy.

The six draft picks can bring you some of the best shooters at Center. PF, DF, SG. and PG.

    Surround Jalen Green with shooters
    Surround Cam Whitmore with shooters
    Surround Tari Eason with shooters
Surround a D Lively of Kel'el Ware with shooters

LIvely went to the NBA finals as a rookie.....is Lively a better Center than Sengun? No, but it's
the Dereck Lively of Kel'el Ware types that go that far. Not the Sengun types that help clog the
    paint.

If you think Sengun after working with Udoka.....just wait until a guy like
    Kel'el Ware enters the picture.

I said don't bother with Evan Mobley.......more his type are up and coming.
LIvely and Ware are examples of.
