Let me start by claiming that I'm a fan of trading either of our super stars. But after reading so many posts about trading either TMAC or Yao, I'm just curious about what's the majority opinion on this issue after such a painful loss.

You should make it a poll.

I think most sensible people on this forum know that T-Mac and Yao are still untouchable. Battier is close to that because of all the things he does for the team. Everyone else is free for trading as long as it's a good trade. Most people would like to keep Hayes, Deke, Vspan, and Head, but if something good comes up, I think they could go also. With JVG gone I think our superstar tandem of Yao and T-Mac will look much better on offense.

I dont understand why everyone on here is trying to trade the two best players on our team, they got us to where we are right now. Even though we lost we ALL the blame cannot be put on them as much as i want to put on them myself. I personally believe that know one wants a injury prone player like tmac who can go out anytime with his back problems so we wont get much in return anyway. I also think that we wont give up yao at any cost. But we need to address the pg position along with the pf position because boozer ate us alive. Another thing is depth off the bench please maybe someone like a matt barnes or stackhouse. I cant believe im talking about this right now even though i am still in a depressed mode. Keep hope alive

I would unload everyone but Tmac, Yao, Battier, Deke, and Hayes. I may also keep VSpan as I am not sure what he can and cant do yet. I like Luther but he has a LOW bball IQ, therefore if any reasonable offers came along I wouldnt hesitate.

Keep both, but IF one had to go, it'd be Yao just because of the way the game is officiated today

My opinion is they won't be traded so there's no point to this thread.

T-Mac is damaged goods. No killer instinct. Bad back. Not getting any younger. Trade him now while he still can be dealt.

    Keep Yao.

Do whatever with Van Bundy... not sure if there's a better replacement available.

You keep both T-Mac and Yao. The Rockets win more than 2 out of every 3 games when those two start. Just surround them with better players. And pray they stay healthy.

Yao isn't going anywhere because he's too valuable from a marketing standpoint.

Tracy isn't going anywhere because nobody wants him for anything near equal value.

We are "stuck" with them whether we like it or not.

Anyone who wants to trade either is a moron. The foundation is brilliant. Inside-outside stars, lots of 3pt shooters, good team defense. The team just needs a different offensive philosophy and more production off the bench.

    Don't be an extremist.

There would be legitimate reasons for making an argument to trade each of them. It may not be the best decision to do so in either case, but it doesn't make someone a moron for pondering it.

If we have to trade one of our stars, which one will you give up?

We need better players around them and a new coach. However, if it came down to it, you have to trade tmac. All his teams never get out of the first round and maybe that is a trend he will never shake.

I agree with you somewhat...it just depends who we would have in place of tmac.

If i werent concerned about his back, i would say hell no to the idea of trading tracy. but it just seems to me like his days as an nba player are starting to shorten. you can tell by watching him that his body is starting to give out on him, which really sucks i have always loved watching him.

I think trading T-Mac is stupid but you are smoking something wicked if you think Mac is the best player in the league.
