The guy's name is MAMADOU N'DIAYE. He plays center on Auburn, Chris Porter's teammate.

    (7-0, 235 lbs., SR, C #34 7.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.8 apg, 1.9 tpg, 2.3 bpg, 1.0 spg, 23.8 minutes, .489 FG, .649 FT, Maine Central Institute/Dakar, Senegal)

He grew up in Senegal, where ever that is, and was a soccer player. This guy is very raw, but has great footwork(Duh! He played soccer). He still is pretty raw on the offensive end but has a sweet jumper and a decent post up game. He's also a great shotblocker. A decent rebounder too.

BTW, he's being compared to Dream cuz of his defensive presence, footwork(cuz of other sports), and didn't start basketball till he was much older. I remember the last time a guy was compared to him and it resulted in Kandi. LOL. [IMG]

Remember who was compared to Dream before Kandi ? Yinka Dare. I remember espn put up a "Dare to Dream" comparison, and yinka actually had better numbers in college, lol. Is yinka still in the league ?

I wouldn't risk a pick on him. You already have two project big men in Cato and Thomas. I'd look for more of a SF type prospect.

If we took him, he'd have to change his number. No Rocket is going to get #34 anymore!

Hamilton is no longer with the team. But if we pick somewhere in the middle of the 1st round, I would take a chance on the guy.

This guy will not go in the first round. Someone might take a chance on him in the second, but there are no guarantees. He needs to add weight before he can bang with NBA centers. As is (his ppg is really lacking), he is strictly a development player, who might be better served by playing everyday in Europe for a couple of years.

I do like his bpg, but we already have Cato on the bench for that.
