$8.00/18 if it's BYOB. $5.00/18 if I must purchase beer from the club house.

there's a indoor black light mini golf in katy mills mall called lunar golf.. and there was one on the edwards cinema in 1-10 called putting edge but it closed down.. I'm thinking of opening one in Houston.. close to where putting edge was.. but it won't probably be black light themed.. just the trditional mini golf but indoors..

    My thoughts:

    1) offer small group rates. For example:
      $5 for one person
      $8 for a couple
$15 for a family of four
      ...or something like that.

    2) keep the place well-maintained. People stop going to mini golf when it gets run down.

    3) make each hold goofy and challenging (but not completely impossible).

    4) watch out for vandalism and prosecute anybody you catch.

I'd go only if you served alcohol. That could be fun.

The only indoor mini golf course I've ever seen is one of those crappy courses with no windmills, pirate ships, giant clown heads, or any of the cool stuff. It was just green felt with barriers. I'd have to be really drunk to even play one of those for free...

I think the way you constructed the poll will bias the answers. People are less likely to choose $3 or $6 because they are at the extremes of the pay range.

Also, consider that your cross section here is mostly young males in IT, whereas you can expect your potential clientele to lean much more toward families. A single affluent male drunk off his ass with friends is willing to pay more per person than a family with a stay-at-home mom and four kids who are bound to get hungry and thirsty and want to buy some cheap plastic trinkets while they're there. If the price was $5 each, that's $30 plus the overpriced cokes and hotdogs. Expensive outing.

I'm sure you've thought of all that, but cf.net seems like not a great place to get market data. Of course, it is free.

The Putting Edge was more than 6 bucks before it closed down. I think it was either 8 or 9. At least for adults anyway.

I didn't know about the indoor place at Katy Mills. Are there any others more centrally located in Houston?

I would pay 10 hundred dollars.

Actually about 6 bucks is ok. I think a mini golf course would take me an hour to play. 6-8 bucks for an hour of entertainment is pretty decent.

also a good place to take a date as someone suggested here a long time ago. :D
