Vote for Perry! He hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet. For almost eight years, he hasn't had a chance to make a decision for himself, as Tom Delay has been telling him everything to do. We all know that Delay was corrupt, but we shouldn't hold that against Perry. Perry should have a chance to prove himself by himself. (I'm voting for Kinky. He's much better than Mr. Irrelevent Bell and Mrs. I-hate-Rick-Perry Keaton-Strayhorn. I'd vote for Werner if I thought he had a snowball's chance.)

I'm the only one thus far to pick my selection. 1 tough granny. Why? She used to be a democrat. She used to be a republican. She's now an indie... She seems to be the most willing to break with traditional comfort zone politics and stand for something.
I would vote for her, if she's close to Perry. She's a former school teacher, who actually knows about what they go through, and what schools need to function effectively. She would be good for education in Texas. She isn't my first, or my second choice, but if she's closest, I'll vote for Strayhorn, for sure. Man, I wish she hadn't gone down the "grandma," route... silly. She is pretty tough, though. Ask anyone who's worked for her! She's very demanding. Unlike our President, if you don't pull your weight, she'll fire your ass. Keep D&D Civil.
I heard her ad today. Pretty good stuff actually with the grandma bit. However, I'd still take Kinky just based on the Casino stuff and the property tax caps alone. The casinos are going to create a lot of revenue and if it is earmarked for education, that would be a great thing. Plus, besides that, we'll get back a lot of money in this state that Louisiana has been stealing from us over the years.
I think Bell, Kinky, and Grandma should get together and form some kind of new governorship candidate braintrust... Let the three of them share the office or something.. cause crap.. Texas cant handle no more Perry..
I second this motion. It's a lot less important to me who beats Perry as long as he's beaten. I actually worked on one of Perry's campaigns a lot time ago and it makes me sick to think about it. Railroad Commissioner or something? Ugh
the latest one ive seen, from sept 11 perry 30.7 bell 25.3 kinky 22.4 grandma 11.1 looks good for kinky because this is a likely voter poll, rather than all the small towns and college kids expected to vote as well.

it'd be awesome if kinky could pull 53% of the vote though... that'd say something to both parties, not only in texas but around the country.
