    Hey guys,

    it has been a minute...

    Today I had Luis Scola on the show. HE discussed his basketball camp, and free agency, and Chris Bosh.

    I asked Luis if he had a problem with the chatter about Bosh coming to town. he answered as honest as possible...

    I also asked about playing somewhere else, like maybe not the NBA.

    On the Gersson interview, we talked about the Rio Grande Vipers wining it all. Also, we talked about the draft, and current needs.

    "You always want a 20 and 10 guy, an allstar on your team. I know my minutes might go down, but winning comes first and I would be happy with that"

    Scola is pure class. I don't think Scola's minutes would go down much. If Bosh came, I could see both players playing backup minutes at the 5.

    I think they will low ball him with something like 5 mil a year, which he will refuses. They will say they are skeptical of his age or something similar and ask him to go seek a contract on the open market to determine his true value and then they will match.

    I dont think trading for Bosh changes that one bit.

    Gotta love Scola, I still think he's a huge part of a championship run.

    Yao working out 6 to 7 days a week, how can you not appreciate that.

    Morey has said this is Luis's last chance for a big contract and that he's earned it. I don't think they'll overpay or low ball him. It was different with Landry as he didn't appear to have a good relationship with his agent.

    This won't affect Scola's contract because he's still a FA. If the Rockets as a result of the Bosh trade say put a cap on his signing at $6 mil. And another team comes in at $8 mil, Scola can simply leave. The Rockets have no leverage in negotiations unless they're willing to match all reasonable offers.

    And it also won't affect Scola's playing time because Yao won't play starters minutes. If Yao plays 20mpg, and Bosh plays 38-40mpg, that's still 36-38mpg left the bench. And Scola will likely play most if not all of that.

    Glad to see Scola would be fine with Bosh taking his minutes. I'd love to have him as our Lamar Odom type sub. He will own fools off the Bench like Landry on steroids.

    Luis Scola is an absolute class act and role model.

    He is one of the few players I wish will be a Rocket for life.
