because hes out of shape, unmotivated, and not putting in the effort. why would you want a guy that isnt caring to just assume the starting role when he clearly isnt even the 3rd best pg at this point in time. later in the season, maybe... but right now, he hasnt earned it.
because he hasn't figured out Adelman's offensive scheme yet. Give him time...the season just began. Steve's season isn't over yet.

I think Rafer will eventually play himself out of the lineup. I don't think Rafer can adequately defend any starting PG in the league. Eventually, James will move to the starting lineup with SF backing him up. I think within a month, the whole notion of Rafer's incredible preseason will fade away as the reality of his mediocre game that we have been subjected to for the past couple of years will come back in force.
Why such Rafer hate?? hes been playing decent and his defense has been great. Ive watched every minute of both games n he played great defense, not to mention when he slapped the ball out of Kobes hand in the final second. James is great off the bench n the chemistry is great so far. I think Francis might eventually take some of Heads minutes.
Please for the love of god someone photoshop Rafer some boobs and make it look like he's seducing Coach A.
I swear I think some of Francis' family signed up on the board after we signed him. Look folks, there's a good chance Steve will play sometime this year. As for right now, if he was good enough to be on the floor he would be in the rotation. If he gets himself up to speed, and Rafer continues to struggle, or some injury problem comes up, then you'll probably see a change. A tip, though: It's all on Francis. Even if Alston is moved out of the starting lineup, James will just switch places with him. Until Adelman decides Francis is part of the rotation, even Alston moving to the bench won't guarantee Steve plays.
Exactly. I still never understood the new preseason "sensation" Alston, based on such limited gameplay against a couple of crappy teams.
