Thank you for riding along with us, but now the random fans who trickled in over the past few weeks are free to take their bags and go. The streak was one of the most unique things I have ever witnessed as a fan, and I'm barely flustered with this loss given how incredible our accomplishment was.

Truthfully, the air going into this game felt a bit different to me. It seemed almost as if we were expected to win (the ESPN analysts were trying to find ways to stop us...?) and that is the exact OPPOSITE sentiment that fueled this streak in the first place.

Now that the hubbub is over, our guys will be able to take a breath, relieve some of the extra pressure involved in making history and return to playing the solid basketball that got them the streak in the first place. I'm not quite ready to say that this loss was a blessing in disguise, but I do believe it was the smack in the behind that the Rockets needed to keep them grounded, humble, and hungry. We aren't quite suited to play this team, they are much longer than us and absolutely HOUNDED us on the offensive glass although the stats don't seem too disparate.

All of that being said, with this loss we will be losing a lot of fairweather fans (which personally doesn't faze me as someone who is wholly addicted to this game, website, and team), but hopefully regaining the poise and confidence to make a little bit of noise in the playoffs.

Fairwell bandwagoners, I hope you enjoyed the ride I've been on all year long!

They aren't fans, they're no better than the BSPN pundits who ride whoever is winning today.

did anyone else feel that the media was FINALLY coming on our side and that THAT was when everything would come crashing down? that was my gut feeling this morning reading article after article praising us. it's nearly impossible not to let some of that stuff get to your head and I'm glad it happened sooner than later.

I'd love to see the bandwagon media come off the fence too and show their real face. They were all paying us out before we got our historic streak, and once we got it they were praising us like no tomorrow. Its kind of like some of the fans here. T-mac for MVP one day

if there is ONE thing to be missed from the bandwagoners, however, it was the FEROCIOUS home crowd that we developed. i really really really hope that houston has not sunk that low as a city and retreats to its pre-streak form. that would be the saddest of commentaries on our city.

that will definately happen unless we win our next 3 before we come back home, the only thing that really made me mad about tonight is garnetts need to dunk if i was one of the players i woulda threw the ball at his face, but then again i like to show my a** like that lol

welcome and get prepared to see a very different board than the one you have been on during the streak. things can get very frustrating on here at times...

btw, for those who stayed till the final buzzer with Mig/I and gave the Rockets a standing ovation, I give you more respect than the ones that left early.

It pissed me off that people started to leave at the BEGINNING of the fourth quarter.

What pissed Mig and I off more, with 3 mins left in the game, people in the lower bowl were leaving, and they started to throw out shirts, the went back down the stairs to get a shirt.. lame....

I was so disappointed when I saw all the bandwaggoners rise out of their seats with over 5 minutes left in the Boston game. I mean, the least everyone could do is stay to commend the Rockets for the historic run we all witnessed but apparently avoiding traffic at 10 pm is more important. I sat my ass down and continued to cheer down to the final seconds and participated in the standing ovation with the rest of the die hard fans. The Rockets never needed the bandwaggoners and it only shows most of the city of Houston's true colors.

I'm kind of glad the streak is over. It'll definitely relieve the stress and pressure of trying to keep the streak alive, and the teams we come up against won't have as much motivation to beat us in terms of killing our streak. Hopefully we can focus fully on playoffs now.

They will back. Rockets will start a new streak starting tonight in NO. I don't know if the Rockets will be able to pick up a C now that JW has been let go?
