i've had "Stop the Pop" for about 5 or 6 months. Not one pop up has gotten through.

There is an option to turn on "Aggressive Mode" which let's nothing by. The only thing you have to do is hold down the "CTRL" button when opening Internet Explorer.

    Great pop up blocker

But if you use Kazaa...then Kazaa will stop working.

And this isn't a pop-up blocker. It just removes spyware from your computer.

    DoD, Finn:

I have DSL and I get these pop-ups that show up when I'm not surfing the web, that show up as like a Windows pop-up. Do you guys know if the Google toolbar will get rid of those as well? What usually happens is I'll leave the computer for a while, then I'll come back and I've got all these pop-ups waiting for me. Thanks.

I love using Apple's Safari web browser. It has a PopUp Blocker feature already installed. It is wonderful! :)

I have yet to get any pop-ups since I started using Google. As long as you have your browser (IE) running, it will block all pop-ups.

Just like what Vengeance said, Mozilla is a great browser. I use Mozilla Phoenix, and am in love with it. No pop-ups, tabbed browsing, and faster than IE.

Freak.....alot of people I know had the same problem with these pop-ups...they are really easy to get rid of. If you are on XP, go into control panel--->admin tools--->services. Find the service called "Messenger" and go into the properties. Stop the service and disable it. That will take care of it

google toolbar is the greatest thing ever, I think I had one ad slip through. Also it doesnt automatically close out of pop-ups that you DO want, like some of the others.
