I'll start... Awww crap ...here we go again...lemme rant....lemme rant FFFFFFF%$##########@@@! Cuttino Mobley is a BS player...period Franchise passes..but to the wrong teamate Yao's too soft....soft as jello MoT's defense might be better than Griffin...but sincerely, it's MoT we're talking about here Griffin was hyped to be a shot blocking 3 pt shooter...but he can't shoot jack and he blocks shots as often as he drains them Moochie is just like Mobley ....with less PT Cato is just like Yao....with less PT.....less skill....but with more intensity...and taking up way too much cap space Rice is going on 36....the rice is spoilt(hint...hint) James Posey...should have stayed on the nuggets
Good topic: -Stop standing around on offense - ever heard of moving without the ball -Stop dribbling the logo off the ball until there's 2 on the shot clock -Mix in a full court or half court trap once in a while -Don't EVER start Posey and EG together again. Both of them are bricklayers and the primary reason why Rox consistantly start so poorly
Even if this team does make the playoffs, it's going nowhere fast. The wheels are spinning in neutral, and that isn't mud flying in our faces. They aren't growing together, they're SUCKING together. This team needs major changes to even be close to competitive
Yao needs to get into his post moves sooner and stop waiting for the double team to come. He nearly violates the Barkley rule most of the time he has the ball in the post.
"Offense puts people in the stands, but defense wins you championships." - Ronnie Courtney, now TSU but then Willowridge HS coach won 2 state championships. Well said, FranchiseBlade.
My rants: OK, Larry Smith should play Rice at least a few mintues more than Posey because his shots have been pretty on as of late and Posey ain't playin' well on D. Posey getting tripled (39-13) the minutes to Rice is unacceptable. To PLEASE rest Yao Ming sometime early in the second quarter and/or in the middle of the 3rd. DON'T wait until he scores 5 baskets in a row and let a tied game go down to double digits due to him not being out and bringing him back in for only a few minutes of the fourth. Cut Moochie's time in half. Unless he's tryin' to show off a dribbling exbihition or an Afro show display, he disrupts the offensive flow of the team. He has shot better as of late though. Tell the team that when one player isolates, to keep moving with out the ball in case he has trouble going by the defender. He could kick it out for a player for a decent shot. Even when we haven't shot the ball well, its better than just stading there watching the one-on-one like an art exbihition. Overall, I'd say he did at best a mediocre job for these 2 games and down right comical at worst. Playin' Yao very little time in the fourth as ultimately cost us these 2 games. We held a close game at Seattle until he decided to bench Yao for the start of the fourth and only playin him for 2:58 of the quarter alone. Then with us being close in Portland, he decides AGAIN to bench Yao during most of the fourth, and the wheels came off the wagon as Rasheed Wallace eventually had his way in the paint. I'm just glad he's only the head coach for only another game or two. You can now see why Rudy makes these silly (or at least questionable) decisions on games like these, because they're assistant coaches don't read the study of other teams or how this offense should be utilized.
Trade Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley! They are idiot guards! Our offense is always sluggish, our defense is terrible, our fast break sucks, we're nothing special on 3- pointers, we turn the ball over too much, we choke in crunch time, and we don't get other players involved! WE ARE WASTING YAO MING!!! If you disagree your an idiot. Anyone who disagrees deserves this-
1) Play Team D... 2) Stop the stupid turnovers... 3) Stop the stupid shots... 4) Run the plays the coach tells you and listen for once... 5) Give Yao the damn ball...
If we don't know the proper use of the word "your", are we an idiot? One more time...Steve Francis will NOT be traded, at least for a couple of years. Here's why: 1) Teams will be reluctant to take on a contract of that length and dollar amount. 2) The only thing you would get in return is either a) another superstar, which the other team wouldn't want to give up...b) an overpriced player, which the Rockets wouldn't want...c) a bunch of role players, and it has been proven time and time again that a trade involving a one player for a bunch of players almost always favors the team that gets one player... 3) Trading a player so soon after signing him to a big deal sets a terrible precedent, which would hurt the Rockets in signing any future free agents... So, please tell all the rest of the Steve Haters at the next convention, he will not get traded anytime soon. The sooner you learn this, the better.
A-Train, teams are reluctant to take Steve Francis, but it's not impossible. It looks like Brand and Kidd are leaving their respective teams, so maybe those teams would be open to a sign and trade so they are not left empty handed. And yeah, it sets a bad precedent. But sometimes we have to swallow the fact that we made a bad decision. Jerry West had no problem Drew Gooden after he just drafted him in the 1st round. There were even rumours he was shopping Pau Gasol. Stackhouse was traded after perhaps his greatest year, and the Pistons seem to be doing great. The Mavs trade guys all the time! And if we can't get rid of Steve Francis for a player of equal talents, then Rudy is screwed, and he'll get fired. What a terrible decision to make this guy into a franchise player!!!
Will you please stop making these lazy passes?!? There's a reason the turnover numbers have jumped recently. Your passes are LAZY. Look before you pass. Pass with intent. Don't just lob the ball up in the air and expect your guy to get it. Geez!
break up the damn team in the off season the talent doesn't justify to stupidity of play over and over again. move mo T to SF maybe, bring in another real power forward who can supplement Yao so yao can do everything on offense. (stromile swift type player) trade mobley, francis and moochie (combined bball IQ of 14 and that's only cuz moochie has an afro) for an underachiever and a star... maybe brand + bobby jackson and pick up whatever space is left open in the free agency (a good SG.. or get boki in there even) i have trouble imagining an underachieving starting lineup of tito maddox, boki, terrence morris, mo taylor and yao doing that much worse.... because at least they would somehow be entertaining and not have any expectations attached to them.
Run lots of fastbreak drills in practice, please. How can you be a professional team and NOT run a decent fastbreak that any high school team can? We have a tough time executing a 4on2. PASS AROUND THE DAMN BALL . Im sure we have the least amount of points on fastbreaks. Larry Smith is a moron and the damn gap between is two front teeth pisses me off. POSEY SUCKS!! we better not sign him. Please play rice with yao, God. Cata owns. I hate seeing players like marbury taking it to him while he raises his hands. Send him a message and Hack the BlTCH once in a while. Cat, give it up or do something when u get the ball, DONT freaking do that stare down that disrupts the offensive flow even more than it already is, annoying.
I disagree that most teams would be reluctant to take Francis. I think most teams would love to have him. I also think it would be ridiculous to trade Francis. The guy has shown much improvement lately, and someone with Francis' talent who's taking less shots, and sacrificing that part of his game to get teammates involved is very valuable. As for Elton Brand, that would be a bad trade for the Rockets. The Clippers who certainly have some talent, are no where near as good as the Rockets. The Bulls which didn't have too much talent weren't as good either. Steve is more valuable to the team. Kidd is great but even the Rockets wanted to trade for him, I doubt he could be had.
I hate soup skin! Eeeewwwwww. Oh yeah, do we average the most abpg* in the league? *airballs per game
