Yao Ming is a waste of time. The Rockets would be too dumb to trade him to say Krause for Eddy Curry and Eddie Robinson. Is Krause in love with Yao? Anyways who wants a 7'6" finesse player who won't dunk and gets b****ed by scrub of scrubs Chris Christoffersen. I hope we get #3 so we get the guy we need and not let Dawson get what he wants.

Who says Yao is what the Rockets want, and what's to say he isn't what they need until he actually plays?

The #1 pick gives the Rockets the most options - whether to use it on a player or trade down in the lottery and acquire more picks in the future or even a vet or two.

It makes no sense to want a lower pick when you have inherently more value in a higher pick. Teams are going to want a shot at Yao or Jay Williams, making it a nice trade market for the Rockets.

And who knows - maybe someone OTHER than Yao and JW could go #1?

Why assume the Rockets want Ming and want a lower pick? The higher the pick the easier it is to get an impact player in the draft or in a trade. They could do a ton of things, including trading down for a key player and a #3 pick for the #1 pick, or a ton of things.

I disagree. The higher the draft pick, the better impact player we can get to help this team get over the hump. That doesn't necessarily we will get or even want Ming! I would like the #1 pick for obvious reasons........we could pull off several trades for high quality players and draft picks.

I prefer Woods, Dunleavy, Butler, in no order, over Ming but would be displeased IN THE LEAST if we selected Ming!

I saw film on him from his Chicago work out and he had a pretty cool presence about him. He walked around like a hard-ass.....like a super star......I think that's the attitude that we want to see from him, instead of a soft, cowardly pose. He's every bit as tall as advertised and must have spent some time in the weight room b/c his upper body looked alot bigger and more cut up than previous pictures and tape.

Bottom line, these are a few positives I'm feeding you, as well as myself, in case we have opportuninty to draft Yao.

Would the #1 pick, KT, and Mo Taylor land us McDyess and a future first?
