This year the Rocks have made a habit out of beating good teams and then losing stinkers to the Jazz, the Hawks and twice to the Bobcats. The games against the crappy teams count too....I will believe in our chances a lot more when the team comes out against crappy teams and beats them with regularity. Tomorrow's game against Golden State will tell a lot about how far they have come. Go ROCKETS !! DD
Agreed, however, regardless of the result tomorrow I'm proud of the way the Rockets have performed on this road trip. It's been a huge success.
In the game thread someone mentioned something about T-Mac and his back... I didnt watch the game...Is he alright (will he be alright)?
that was then, this is now. no way were gonna lose tommorow with the chemistry, morale, and momentum we have now. as long as tmac's back is ok, we're good to go.
Tmac just went for a layup and landed a little awkwardly..I think he just stretched it out and should be better..or maybe it's not and he just finished the game..and may have a sore back or something. I don't know..Warriors sound pretty good. We can't take them for granted. I'm still upset that we lost to the Bobcats twice. Swept. HOW lol
Golden State can't be taken lightly. Baron and J-Rich and strong and fast. If we do a good defensive job and make it hard for the Warriors to shoot we should be all right.
Those games you mentioned all came when we were still a team in transition without the current roster of players. This is a scary team now and they don't seem to take other teams for granted. We'll see tomorrow, but I'd bet the play well. Now, if they lose because they just broke down on the 4th game of a long road trip and can't make shots, I would completely understand. I don't want them to, but I would get it. Golden State is a much improved team since the deal for Baron Davis. They won't be a pushover, especially on the last game of a road trip and the second night of a back-to-back. Fortunately, the game is almost 36 hours off from tipoff to tipoff AND the venue is only an hour and a half from Sacramento.
What Jeff said... All the Rockets have to do is play their *own* game. And do NOT take GS for granted. Play to CRUSH them! Do not play *down* to GS's level. Play *up* at the Rocket's level; which they know they can play!
i think we will win the next game. for one reason we are not the same team we where in the early going.
Good point Jeff, except for the Utah game last week. I just think this team does not respond well to playing teams they feel they should beat. I look for Sura to be the key tomorrow if we are to win. DD
I would be really sad/dissapointed/angered if they lost to Golden State, but in the long run I'd forget about it because it doesn't really matter. What does, is that this team will finish as high as the 3-seed and as low as the 7-seed in the Western Conference. All the teams in the playoffs are good, obviously. And, we all know how great they play against the top teams this year, for example, beating 4 of the top 5 teams in the West this week. Once they are in the playoffs, obviously, they won't slack off at all and everything will be fine.
DD Congratulations on getting your very first zero rating thread PS: who would be court side tomorrow night ?
No they will not broken down, this is a hungry Rockets team I have never saw before. If you watch closely, the intensity in Yao's eyes before the Sacramental game, I never see this team so hungry for some respect. They're a machine and they will shut people up about them being soft.
Did you see the frustration from Bibby face all afternoon? That made my day! We are a better team than Queens now, for real!
The golden state game is still dangerous. The rockets shouldn't take them lightly cuz a loss after beating the bejesus out of all those top tier teams would leave a huge blemish on the our best road-stretch in recent memory.
