Am I the only one that wants to just sit on this guy and let his contract expire? Why trade him for a bag of bones? I really havent seen one trade rumor that strikes me as a good idea. His huge contract will free up a lot of cap space for one of the biggest free agent off seasons ever. LeBron, DWade, Bosh, etc??? Sure you may say they can make more money elsewhere, or play for a bigger market. But what about the huge Chinese market and marketing ability plating next to Yao? That has got to be attractive to some FAs. If we trade T-Mac and get stuck with more role players for years to come I will be disappointed.
You have not read BimaThug's cap/myth of 2010 Free Agency thread have you? Letting McGrady expire will only give us ~7 mil and that's before resigning Scola and Lowry. Who are you going to sign then? Surely not anyone better than what you could get in a trade. But sure if you want a shot at Wade or LBJ(who are not certain to come here, let alone leave their current teams), renounce about half of the team. It's not about them not wanting to come here, we simply won't have the money.
Sorry but I really don't think that'd do it for them, at least for lebron, his market is already worldwide, I don't think it gets any bigger from playing with Yao. I feel like guys like wade and lebron would rather take the 8 mil to play together in a city they already play in and have solid role players. (Cav's) Wade and lebron would do much more together because of their durability and age. I don't think we're bringing in one of those guys no matter what.

How can you totally know nothing about this? This has been discussed so many times... We only have about 10M salary cap if Morey give up Scola, Hayes & Lowry. You want to use 10M to sign James..............
