1. Can a hard disk have 2 kind of file system in each partition? For example, partition C is FAT32, and partition D is NTSF. 2. If you want to make a backup of your system, and the backup image file is about 10GB, Is it better to put the image file on which kind of file system? FAT32 or NTSF. 3. About how long does it takes to backup a used 20GB hard disk?
1. No (and it's NTFS). A hard disk can have multiple partitions that each use a different file system (is that what you meant?), however. 2. I don't see why it would matter unless you're that worried about cluster size. If the partition you're going to put the image file is 8-16 gigs in size, FAT32 uses 8k clusters, NTFS uses 4k clusters. Any partition above 2 gigs in size, NTFS uses 4k clusters. Any partition between 16-32 gigs in size, FAT32 uses 16k clusters. 3. Depends on how tight you want the compression, how fast your PC is, what types of files you have, and what software you use. You're on your own now... I'm staying out of tech support threads for another 6 months.
na........, i just want to check if there's any computer geek in clutch city, i already know those question, so, i just want some oppinion, ok, the thread is close officially by FlyingDragon
there are plenty of computer guys here... you just met one, DoD answered you truly...I was on vacation for the 4th and didnt see this till right now.. and vengeance is another guy that knows his stuff...there are a couple of more, their names elude me at the moment..
I only thought people on the Clutch Crew could close threads. If this isn't the case, I am off to the GARM to start closing some threads!
