I already have noticed alot of people posting about Ariza not being who we thought he was and that he isn't the guy for this team, please we are not even halfway through the season. Why are fans so quick to bash on him? He had a horrible game and we all know, but let him have a season here before claiming he is not who we thought or the right fit for this team...

You didn't know? The clutchfans bbs turns on their players in a millisecond. The problem is people thought he'd be what Tracy McGrady is (probably because their hatred for McGrady and desire to see him be replaced). Trevor is a tremendous player that is playing out of his abilities right now. Hes a slasher and spot up shooter, not somebody who can run the pick n roll and create/score. He is what he is. Accept it and it'll be easier. He still is a piece to a championship team though, and we should be happy we have him.

Yup, i dont know why that is.
These Rockets dont deserve all the bashing they get.
They give it there all every game & its not enough for some people.

I don't think most of us are waving pitchforks and saying TRADE HIM, most of us just don't want him to play the T-mac role when T-mac is on the bench ready to play the T-mac role. This team would be a LOT better if T-mac was the SG and Ariza slid to the SF.

Basically, Ariza would be way better in Battier's role than Battier is right now, while T-mac would be way better in Ariza's role than Ariza is right now. Makes sense?

He is? If T-Mac really was ready to play at an All-Star creator level, he would have by now. I highly, highly doubt McGrady's actually in shape enough to take Ariza's minutes for now, and we need to wait and take our time with him.

Hmmmm... okay.

See I'm not even going to try to discuss this with you if you already have this mentality. Not even worth it.

He leaves and the offense gets better....I rest my case!

when he is anything close to decent he is only good in the 1st quarter, then he disappears

No way should TMac so that this guy can play.

at best he is good back up for T-Mac and Shane, even behind Buddinger.
I have give him 20 games and am not impressed.

well, do you think T-mac right now would be any worse than the way Ariza has performed the past couple of games?

Im not saying he should be a 20 7 8 guy, but he can contribute and be a factor to this team. Everyone saying he isnt worth it is not fair, its been only 23 games..

We're 23 games into the season, and Trevor Ariza is currently 12th in the NBA in shot attempts per game. That's ahead of the likes of Deron Williams, Brandon Roy, Chris Bosh, and Vince Carter.

On the season, he's now shooting 38% from the field, 33% from three, and not even shooting 70% from the line, 67% from there as well too. He's shown he cannot handle the ball, and I'm rather impressed with his ONLY 2.6 turnover average, as I would have expected it to be much higher.

He hasn't shown any type of improvement in the aspect of being able to create his own shot. He's still a fine player that can contribute offensively, and defensively, but we're thrusting him into a role he cannot handle. He's expects, and we expect him to be a 1a, or 1b type option, when he should be the 4th option on this current Rockets team.

Honestly? Yes, as Ariza does have defensive skill. Especially since we have no idea how healthy he really is, we really need to wait. As I've said (and so has Adelman) sending in McGrady on a four game in five day stretch is a VERY BAD IDEA.
