I posted this same topic last year, but it's thrust remains valid: Yao is mighty soft for somebody who's 7'6" and 300+ lbs. Yeah, he'll yank down 16 rebounds from time to time, but friggin' Loren "Lazy Ass" Woods can lock him down.

Yao IMHO is an enigma and always will be. Maybe once he goes through puberty he'll be a bad ass. Right now he's 18 pts. and 9 rbs., which, when you think about it, does not justify the first pick in the draft. Amare Stoudamire, post laser eye surgery, is looking the MJ in the Sam Bowie draft.

Boy did you pick the wrong time to post this. Yao was pretty much the only bright spot the past two games. He was unstoppable on offense and was almost able to bring us back from big deficits. Loren Woods? Does anybody have a "Welcome to Last Week" pic handy.

    You said thrust. hahah

It's obvious you are comparing him to...oh wait, who else is 7'6" and 300+.

I'll agree that Yao is soft on rebounds. But if you have watched him play this year, on offense at least, people are bouncing off of him. How is that soft?

Referees are a big reason Yao is not as "hard" as we like him to be.

You must have even less of a life than me. You are always on here. haha. I thought I was the only one.

Here's a challenge for Clutch Crew: Does m_cable or myself spend more time on here than you guys? I'm sure you keep a log of people browsing time. Right?

Well I spend a lot of time on the board on the weekends and weeknights. But since most of the posts from the board are generated on weekdays during 8-5 CST, I'm probably not even close to the biggest "posting fool" on the board. I think you just notice me because we post at the same times. Like I seem to have the same schedule as guys like DavidS and Tyler Durden. I always see new posts by them at the times that I'm on the board. So it just makes it seem like they are on the board all the time.

Dude, your comparison to Sam Bowie is just downright terrible. Here's the thing, NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE was going to pick Amare first that season. And, right, Amare is going to be as good as Jordan. Call me when Amare has 6 rings, several MVP trophies at his house, and is generally considered the best player of all time

I don't mind Amare Stoudamire being MJ of that draft. Who was the #1 in that draft again? I don't mind getting that guy out of Yao. Not at all!

In the first 3 games I criticized Yao for being soft. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one, 'cause he's gone strong to the basket lately. And he's playing more aggressive on both ends of the court. He's challenging shots in the lane.

He can play soft, but he isn't doing so right now. Keep it up, Yao!
