Ok the only 2 games worth buying to me are NBA2k7 and MLB The show. Other than that, anyone else feel ripped off? All my friends talk about their Xbox and about this awesome game called Gears of War. Should I buy an Xbox?
Yeah my friends been buggin out about that game. Hes a hardcore gamer, and apparently he gets his ass wooped on it all the time. Which means I would lose interest in it if I get my ass wooped all the time, haha.
It's one of those games that you can enjoy even while getting whooped. I'm not very good at it either.

You can play against people that are closer to your skill level too. Warhawk is pretty much the first game I've ever played online (and I'm not that great at these sorts of games either, even offline), and I don't do TOO bad (even won a few matches...too bad the stats weren't working). As mentioned though, you have a lot of fun even when you're not doing that good (unlike my brief experience with Resistance online...though I'll give that another shot one day). Anyway, on-topic, I'd probably say the PS3's lineup in the first 10 months or so is probably not that much worse (if at all) than the 360's first 10 months. Compared with the 360's first 2 years? Yeah...not so much (mostly in terms of volume though).
I have a 360...but I think the PS3 will start blowin up soon. Just give it some time and it will catch up in terms of quality gaming.
Get Resistance: Fall of Man. I dont really like my PS3 that much but that game kicked ass. One of the best games I've ever played.
I think this thread is 2 months early. That said, as a functional unit of my living room it has done nicely. Hi-def movies, some gaming, and working out while watching Darrin's dance grooves over youtube have definitely been cool.
haha Ummm... I don't think anyone else has 2k7 or The show in their top 5 titles for the PS3. You need to branch out a little
I felt ripped off a couple months ago when there was this 2-3 month span of nothing new coming out. But with Christmas coming around the corner, I'm sure there will be a lot of games coming out.
I wasn't planning on buying one until next year, but then my PS2 crapped out and I was really into my MLB Show franchise and didn't see a point in spending $100 on another PS2 that I only planned on playing for another 6 months at the most.
Hey, Tekken 6, baby. Dang am I lookin' forward to that thing. Sounds to me like Final Fantasy 13 is gonna stay exclusive, too. Resistance is great, as everyone has been saying. And then there are the great games the 360 has that are also on the ps3 such as GRAW 2 and Rainbow Six: Vegas. And of course there's the fact that it can play Blu-Ray, and it can upscale any ps2 or ps1 game. Woohoo. I'm happy enough. I'm sure things will pick up given another year. And even if they don't, NBA 2K8 and FIFA 08 will be enough to occupy me all by themselves for about 6 months after they come out.
Despite this there will be early adopters who will buy into the hype.... btw are wiis still hard to find?
RC is it true that there is another price cut in the works for the PS3 and it will be announced at the Tokyo game show this month?
