I know the Rockets are eliminated, but I think I've gotten over it enough to watch the playoffs. What do you want to see? I want to see Lakers vs Portland(but not for western conf finals) I want to see Mavs shove it to the Jazz. I want to see Kings vs anyone. I want to see Heat vs NY I want to see Philly vs Heat or NY. I want to see the Spurs and TD play in some big games. What do you NOT want to see? 1. LA repeating 2.Portland making it very far 3.Most of the east games 4.Phoenix 5.Minnesota 6.Bob Costas Gimme feedback!!! Make your lists!!! ------------------ snap crackle pop
I'll be watching the games you mentioned to be sure. I'll also be watching the Bucks closely. I think they could be major spoilers in the East. ------------------ "I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy from getting on that plane." --Ozzy Osbourne on guitarist Randy Rhodes
I wanna see Spurs or Mavs in the west. Maybe even the TWolves because I like KG. I wanna see Sixers, Bucks, or Magic out of the east. No lakers, no jazz, no kings (because I still want Webber to leave), no knicks, no heat, no suns, no blazers. ------------------ O-da-lally, O-da-lally, Golly what a day.
I'm rooting for Portland. Pippen has enough rings, but I want Rasheed to prove himself, and for Sabonis to get an NBA title. In the east its a tossup between Philly and Milwaukie. I also like Miami in any series. ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan. Protrolls.com!
I don't want the Blazers to win because of Quitten. I don't want the Spurs to win, because then people would try and say that Robinson's career was as good as Dream's. I don't mind the Lakers repeating, because a somewhat dynasty might help the league. Also, I will be rooting for the Mavs. Out of the east, it's gotta be the 76er's or Bucks. I'll go with the Bucks. Teams will find ways to slow Iverson. Heat and Knicks have no chance. ------------------
This is the thim of year that I switch back to my roots. GO KNICKS. i dont really like them this year(hate rice/LJ) but i will cheer just the same ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
What I want to see: 1.4 OT's in game 7 of the Finals 2.Heat win it 3.Sixers win it 4.Heat vs. Knicks 5.76ers vs. Pacers 6.Mavs sweep Jazzholes 7.Blazers sweep Lakers 8.Blazers get swept by Kings 9.The chat room packed for playoff games 10. After losing to the Spurs in the wcf C-Webb rips into his team and says "f$%# this I'm going to Houston". What I DON'T want to see: 1.Jazz win 2.Blazers win 3.Lakers win 4.Knicks win ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. atheistalliance.org [This message has been edited by DEANBCURTIS (edited April 15, 2001).]
Please, no Mavs. I want them eliminated as soon as possible. First round!! I want the Spurs to go from the West and the Sixers from the East. I want the Sixers to take it all. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
Oh, and if the Spurs can't go from the West, I want the Jazz to make it to the Finals and then lose. Why? Because I want that carrot dangled as close to Malone and Stockton's lips as possible, only to be taken away at the last second once again. Aaaah, a fate even Tantalus would not trade for! ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills... [This message has been edited by Dr of Dunk (edited April 15, 2001).]
DoD, you're from Dallas right? Almost all Mavs fans are bandwagoners. I used to live near Dallas, and there was absolutely no Mav fans at all. It's funny hearing some of them talking about how they stuck by the team during the bad years, and how they deserve this playoff spot. ------------------
Gotta go for the Spurs. Duncan is my favorite player in the league, and he epitomizes the rest of that team and the reasons I like them as well. Hard working, talented, great character and class, etc. Plus they have a great home crowd and enthusiam... assuming they advance beyond the first round I will probably go see a few games myself in the Alamodome. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! No one can say Robinson was as good as Dream. We only have to look as far as the '95 Western Conference Finals for that one. I wouldn't mind seeing SA get another ring. I like their team. The most fun I'll have will be watching the Jazz and Blazers fall apart. ------------------ "I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy from getting on that plane." --Ozzy Osbourne on guitarist Randy Rhodes
What I don't want to see: 1. Lakers winning 2. "" "" 3. "" "" 4. "" "" 5. Spurs winning 6. Portland winning ------------------ "It's like saying there isn't enough offense in football, so let's go to three downs." --Rudy T on zone defenses in the NBA
I lived in Houston for about 24 years then moved to Dallas. I've been living here about 3 years now. It's even funnier when I have to help their fans out and tell them who played for them back in the 80's. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
DoD, I just want to see the Mavs hand it to the Jazz. I don't care how far they go, but EVERY town has it's annoying bandwagoners. Just look at SA. And no way would i want the jazz to make it to the finals. I would like to be somewhat entertained by the finals, and watching Malone elbow and flop while NBC announcers fall all over themselves about the accomplishments of the jazz is not my idea of entertaining. ------------------ snap crackle pop
I want the Bucks to win it all, but the only other team I'll be okay with winning it would be the Lakers b/c I don't care if a team repeats. It would just make the Rockets knocking them off next season even more impressive.
Being forced to watch the Lakers any more this season (thanks NBC and TNT) would be punishment to difficult to take. The most exciting Finals in my opinion- Mavericks vs. Bucks Who cares if Mavs fans are bandwagon? I like the team, not the fans. Here is who I want to see in the Finals West: 1) Mavs 2) Spurs 3) T-Wolves 4) Kings 5) Suns 6) Jazz 7) Portland 8) Lakers East: 1) Sixers (I live in Philly ) 2) Bucks 3) Magic (wont happen, but Mcgrady is amazing) 4) Heat 5) Raptors 6) Hornets 7) Knicks 8) Pacers ------------------ Haha.. you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is: Never get involved in a land war in Asia. Only slightly less well know is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
What I want to see: 1) Lakers lose, Phil Jackson in intense physical pain 2) Blazers lose to Lakers in 1st round, repeat of last years WCF. 3) Jazz get swept by Mavs (okay, I'll settle for just a Mavs upset) 4) San Antonio or Dallas make it to the finals. Good teams. Dallas in particular deserves recognition. What I don't want to see: 1) Pippen enjoying a moment of happiness 2) Malone or Stockton suffering a major injury, not because I care what happens to them past being human beings, but because I wouldn't want any asterisk next to Utah's being eliminated 3) Vince Carter acting like the punk he is again Sorry for all the negativity. Most of all, I'd like to see a good, all-around exciting playoffs with good sportsmanship, and a championship going to a deserving team. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Relativist (edited April 16, 2001).]
