It's starting to hit me. Everytime I check this website, listen to sports radio or think about the Rox, I start to feel the stress. This is the "peaking at the right time" part of the season. Now I look at every game more and more critically, not just the Rockets but the entire West Conference playoff picture. I can't help but to feel post playoff anxiety as if the Rocket's have already been eliminated and dreading what that will feel like.

    Anyone else?

I am a huge fan, but this might be taking it a bit too far. Let the guys stress out and just enjoy the games. Much better for your health and general outlook!

I am getting pretty pumped about this squad. And with the playoff first round matchup pretty much set with the Jazz, that adds to the excitement over nervousness factor for me.

As long as the Rockets play with a purpose (like you see with most teams that make a strong playoff run) then things are looking bright AB  .

I felt the same way right before the Mavs-Rockets series. I thought we had a chance but couldn't see us beating them. That series was torture but it's interesting how much more anxious I am now than when I was in the 90's. I expected us to deal with the post season fodder without much issue and didn't really get worked up until the conference finals. I miss that.

Right now, the Jazz appear the best first round match up but the thought of our season coming to an end premature sucks. I don't want this season to end period so it'll be disappointing when that finally happens regardless of which round we exit.

So yeah, I am starting to get anxious about how we finish the year off and enter the playoffs.

realistic probable outcome for the team to me is a 2nd round exit against dallas (again)..they are just too good.

hopeful outcome is to atleast make it to the wcf because if we do beat dallas, then phoenix is probably next.

The emotions aren't hitting me yet and probably won't until the last couple of regular season games.

I am getting excited thinking about it, not far away. But, how the team finishes is the big issue now. I am after homecourt, that's the goal at this point. The Rockets will have to finish "strong" to get it, and that is perfect for "rolling" into the postseason. Things are looking good. Bonzi's demise is the main disappointment. I have serious questions about Rafer in the postseason; I think he is the most likely to "fold." Otherwise, full steam ahead.

I am as big a fan as they come (never miss a game for the last 20 years, blah, blah, blah). All I am saying is don't let it rob the joy that's all.

Someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease explain to me how they get brainwashed so easily into thinking Dallas>Houston? We are one of only two or three teams to blow out the Mavericks. The game in Dallas w/o Yao was very hard... @Dallas w/o Yao they are better then us, but did you see the Mavs@Rockets games in Feb? I was at the game, and I am in NO way convinced Mavs have anything on us. Their offense was awesome, but with Yao in the middle now, they aren't going to get all those easy hoops to the basket. They will have to make rotations and instead of putting their 5 best offensive players on the court, they will have to leave in 2 or 3 defensive players. It just urks me to see Rockets fans getting caught up in Dallas' great record and talk yourself into believing the Rockets are scraps compared to the team in Big D.

I know what you mean. I find myself more drawn to the warriors/jazz game then the rox game tonight. I'm pretty sure we'll win, but I really want the warriors to win theirs too as it weakens the jazz and makes GS more of a lock for a 1st rnd matchup with dallas, whom they seem to whoop up on.

I was there too. We lost the game with our free throws. I'd like to see Dallas play 32 games without Nowitzki.

I'm actually pretty calm right now. I usually get amped up before all Rockets games, even regular season ones. But with the team pretty much stuck in the 5th seed, there's no reason to get too worked up over the postseason til it's actually here.

Of course with the Jazz tanking lately, home court is once again a possibility, so the nerves are coming back. :D

I've been nervous since the beginning of the season. We have so much on the line this year and it's definitely the year where everything just seems right. Like what X-PAC said, doesn't matter how far we go, if the seaons over and we aren't champions, i'll be :(

Been a Rockets fan forever. The playoff run when we were the 8th seed with Barkley about to beat the Jazz and the Mavericks 7 game series have caused me the most stress outside the 2 championship runs.

But... Right now. Aggie basketball has my full attention. It keeps me up, makes my stomach ache, its rough. I almost cant wait for it to be over so I can refocus...

personally, i'm pumped. i can't wait to see the playoff tmac again. it's incredible. i only hope this time we can go far. the losses do hurt, but it's all just a good time overall. the pain of losing is worth the excitment that can be brought on by all this stuff.
