We've been talking about the Rockets' run at a playoff spot, and several teams have been singled out as the Rockets' "targets": T'Wolves, Mavs, Nuggets, Sonics, Suns.

I was at SRO watching the Hornets game. The Rockets won the game (what a WIN! [IMG]), and I didn't feel like leaving. I sat there changing channels and found the Jazz vs. Sonics game. Well, well, well, I was so bad that I cheered for the Jazz! Should I say I just wanted the Sonics to fall. Unfortunately, the Sonics won the game.

On the other hand, the Mavs lost to the Sixers. Good news!

It's getting VERY interesting now. It's like each and every game played by our "targets" would change our fade.

Of course, the border line is we WIN as many games as we can.

I'm going to stop doing this. I did it last week with the Seattle/Nets game...Seattle won.

I did it Monday night with the TPups/Kings game...TPups won.

I did it last night (followed by a night of praying in church) with the Jazz/Sonics...Sonics won.

No. No, no, no, a thousand times no. I wouldn't root for the Jazz if they were playing the Iraqi National Team.

I'm rooting for Utah to win the championship this year, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

There are many reasons why a Rocket fan should want the Jazz to win it all:

-If LA wins, Shaq gets his first ring, and it's only a matter of time before people start to think he's better than Hakeem was.

-If San Antonio wins, that's a back-to-back for them, making the Rockets' accomplisment in '94-'95 look like no big deal.

-If Portland wins, Pippen gets a ring, and, well...

Who does that leave? Utah. Them winning this year does nothing to belittle anything the Rockets have done in any way. They're the only logical choice for me.

Uhhhh... I live in Utah, (for college, boys) and I only watch Jazz games so I can cheer for whoever they're playing against...
    Ugh....

I am going to have to go for the Knicks out of the possible options b/c I respect Patrick Ewing as a good player and would like to see him get a ring plus I was born in NYC so that is who I would like to see win it.

But I would most like to see a rematch of the '94 sereis with the same outcome.

While I don't like the flashy, Hollywood show-boat that is the Los Angeles Lakers, I do like the team. Kobe is simply amazing. Its going to be fun watching him continue to progress. I like Shaq as well. He's finally becoming the defensive presence he should have been all along. I would love it if Shaq somehow came to Houston next year and had a year of schooling under Dream. Its only a pipe dream, but can you imagine what a teacher-student combo that would make?

Personally, I hate Utah. Stockton and Malone have unbelievable talent, but I hate those two. Payton is a b!tch. Skilled, yes, but I don't like him anymore than Karla.

Did you mean to say "schooled Dream for a year in practice"?

I was indeed feeling guilty after cheering for the Jazz last night. That's why I felt the need to confess my sin in front of you all BBS people. Plus all your replies, it makes me look like an anti-Rocket. [IMG]

"Personally, I hate the Jazz!" Me too! (Me three ... Me four ... crying!!!) I said I just couldn't help if they were playing one of our "targets." You know ...! Uhhhhhhh!!! It's not only the Jazz. I cheered for the Sixers last night, too.

OK! [IMG] I will stop cheering for them (the Jazzhole). Actually, the way I cheered for the Jazz is nowhere near to the way I cheered for the Rockets last night. I hate the Jazz, and I love the Rockets. That's the difference! (Finally, I feel like I'm a Rocket! [IMG])
