Depending on how my team does I have a love/hate relationship with playoff cliches. Here are some of the one's that I love being mentioned with reference to this series. The Mav's backs are "against the wall" Game 5 (if necessary) Home court advantage Regroup...
"They did what they were supposed to do. They protected their homecourt, now we have to go home and do the same."
We "stole" one of the first two games--- Why did we have to "steal" it?... it seemed like it was offered up to us on a silver platter.
"We have to come out now and match their intensity on the court" "We have to stop thinking too much and just come out and play basketball" "Guys just need to step up" "If we just play our game everything will fall into place" "We may be down 3-0 but I can tell you right now I believe in all 12 players on this team and we're not gonna give up" "Both teams played hard my man, both teams played hard"
Also, for all of us already penciling us into the WCF... "Don't count our chickens before they hatch."
how about something to the effect of: We took it to another level...now we need to take it up another level, and then another level above that...and then another, and another... - Marbury ???
"The Basket was like South Beach, it was really big, and it is very beautiful over there" "Once you sign that paper, and these cameras are on, dish out the millions, I'll be a star" - Damon Jones
This thread isn't one of the long ones where it would have been super hard to read all the posts that came before posting. I guess my answer about cliches turned out to be nothing more than a cliche'
Just tryin to get the "W".... Kobe always said that and I would be tempted to throw large objects at the TV
