Aaron Judge and the playoffs - oof. Never understood the hate for the guy (blame the media because he's in the New York market) Still don't want the Yankess to win any games this series - screw Cole, Rodon, and Soto.
He suggested the 2017 MVP should be his after cheating scandal despite implications that the NY system was still happening his rookie year.
The only highlights worth watching are the Jomboy teams reactions to the end of each game so far. Incredibly satisfying.
Both the Dodgers and Yankees have said things to that effect. Let's be honest Dodger winning the WS (which is the likely result), is the worst case scenario for the Astros, for how this era of Astros ball will be looked at in a decade or so. As much as I hate it, we want the Yankees to win.
The dodgers already sort of won one and Ohtani is always the main focus. It is such a different team from 2017.
I was in Japan last month and he was everywhere in the news (Couldn't walk past an airline terminal without him displayed on their tvs). Gotta feel good to have that much love and support.
Is anyone outside of LA actually treating the Spring Training championship of 2020 as real? Playing less than half the season.. everyone and their moms being in the postseason... not just neutral sites, but empty stadiums... and chopping off quarter of games for double headers?
Technically MLB treats it as real. I mean, I'm sure they want to win this one to feel more legitimized. Our 2017 WS is the greatest thing in my lifetime, but I was certainly relieved to get that 2022 title to back it up with given some people will always question 2017. If only we also won 2019 & 2021 titles. Could have been like Belicek and Brady, who nobody questions their GOAT status despite spygate and deflategate. As Rockets fans we all understand as people diminish our titles simply because MJ didn't play for 1.5 years. Somehow all I remember is how none of their asses managed to win either of those titles.
I need the Dodgers to win so I can preserve my Tuve 2 Judge 0 shirt. I watched 0 playoffs after the Astros, but did watch the highlights of Yanks/Indians HR 9th and 10th game. Don't miss it.
It's so on brand for Houston that even the titles we do win get scrutinized and even delegitimized by many. The no MJ nonsense in 94 and 95 and the cheating scandal in 2017 tainting the entire dynastic run.
This is pretty much working out as good as we could hope for. The one player we don't hate between the 2 teams is Freddie Freeman. Judge going 1-10 with 7 Ks is simply delicious. We'll just ignore that the Dodgers won this thing. Also, the Yankees getting swept would mean they have not win a WS game in the last 15 years. This needs to happen.
I saw someone make a joke(but it's true so no joke) that McCullers has more World Series rbi's than Judge lol
