I heard T Mac say it in the post game interview (to do some soul searching)...is this what this team needed down the stretch? What would you address in this team meeting?
Address the fact that 2 out of 3 of our "Big Three" sucked in nearly every game this season. Tonight we had T-Mac and Yao goin at least.
The meeting was called by Artest. Everybody was thinking he will disrupt chemistry on the team and first thing he does is show something this team has been missing for years. LEADERSHIP!!! Artest had a bad game offensively but he will only get better and better.
Artest is a great leader and we are lucky to have him even though his shots are not falling for him right now. This guy really want to win and he'll do anything to win.
matt bullard mentioned during the lakers broadcast that the team needs to have a players meeting. i wonder if he had anything to do with it?
For real? I wondered about that. Shows that his comments after the Lakers game were not empty words. "I have confidence in this team"
The reporter while interviewing Shane said that Ron Artest called the team 'veterans only' meeting. Its obvious the meeting was about "You Guys Need To Man The $%&$ Up!" Shane said it was about playing more 'NBA Quality Basketball'.
Can we get a video of this meeting meeting, anybody? Ron needs to step it up, either defer to tmac or yao or get his shot to fall.
once battier comes back, our defense is going to be ready to lock teams down. great leadership shown by artest; looks like were are adjusting slowly.
Artest did two things that I really liked and extremely valuable to the team. He showed he is leader and motivated everyone with this meeting. And during the fight, he stayed put in the bench! Now I truly believe we will not have personality issues with Artest this season. Only thing in the way of the Rox championship is the Lakers.
The Meeting was necessary...Everyone needs to be on the same page...I feel these guys are trying to gel and be a team
I don't know if you guys noticed that at the end, there was one play Tmac was directing where Artest should go. To me the pecking order is Tmac Rafer Yao and others.
LOL at McGrady...Artest just told him to man up but T-Mac went with the I had some "special treatment" from some new doctor story. At least he was efficient tonight so I'll give him props for that.
