Francis should have won. He scored like 32, 26 and 33 points, and had great numbers in rebs and asts. In fact, Francis wasn't even a candidate according to NBA.com. What a rip!!
I am tired of everyone crying for respect. Francis might have averaged some damn good numbers, but how many wins did he have? 1! Thats how many. We will get our respect when we consistently start beating good teams.
Did you happen to read who was a candidate? Steve Smith. I guess Smith's line of 17.5 pts, 3.5 reb, and 2 asst for the past week was just too good for Steve to match...
Umm, the Spurs only played two teams. One of them, the Rockets, is generally regarded around the league as less talented than Dallas (who we beat by almost 40), and they let the Rockets without their 2nd best player almost beat them in their own gym. The other team they beat were the mighty Cavs.
Maybe I came out a little wrong. Yeah we dont even get the little respect we deserve. But some people on this board cry a mighty river over lack of respect. I mean we havent made the playoffs in two years, and our record this year is not earth shattering. I am satisfied with it, but so far there our better teams out there who deserve more lip then us.
