We were not going to “out talent” the Warriors, and “out efforting” them isn’t winning you the series. We simply didn’t have enough bodies at the end of the day to compete. This is the story of the 2018-2019 season. All of our offseason signings were flops. Not only did they not help...they cost us assets to unload (Knight), contributed to our terrible start (Melo, Williams) or were just nonfactors (Ennis). Even if the good midseason pickups, Rivers was the only player that actually ended up giving us significant minutes. We have to either match their talent with another star player or beat them with depth...we may actually need a little of both. We had neither.
