And now for something completely different Anybody else excited about the remake? Check out the sound clips. Hilarious http://members.nbci.com/planetofapes/index.html ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is.
I don't know if I am excited about the remake or not. I've seen the original so many times that the remake is bound to fall short of my expectations. On the other hand, I've heard good things from supposed insiders about the new flick. ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
"You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!" I like the original . . . but maybe the remake won't suck too much. hehe . . . Rock me Dr. Zaius ------------------ consultant, n.: Someone who knowns 101 ways to make love, but can't get a date.
Kris Kristofferson was listed as one of the actors appearing in this movie, and I really, really hope he will be playing one of the apes. "Hey now! Whatchy'all fellers doin' over dere wit dat banana?" ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
Directed by Tim Burton Cast (in credits order) Mark Wahlberg - Leo Davidson Kris Kristofferson - Karubi Charlton Heston - Ape Cameo Appearance rest of cast listed alphabetically Erick Avari - Tival Helena Bonham Carter - Ari George Clooney - Ape General (uncredited) Emmy Collins - Gorilla/Human Outcast Michael Clarke Duncan - Attar Luke Eberl Paul Giamatti - Limbo Spike Jonze Lisa Marie Evan Dexter Parke Tim Roth - General Thade Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa - Krull Estella Warren - Daena Neither a direct re-make of the classic starring Charlton Heston nor a close adaptation of the novel by Pierre Boulle, this version, from a script by William Broyles Jr., is instead a "re-imagination" of the ape-planet concept. The film is also said to be inspired by the entire series of Planet of the Apes, rather than just the first film. There will still be people in ape costumes, which are reported to be similar to the masks from the original, only updated and more articulated to better show off the actors beneath. ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is. What is going on, are there no longer any writers in the can write orignal scripts and screenplays. We are bombarded by Remakes most of which are very crappy and even worse recently the trend seems to be to remake TV shows, A-Team, Charli's Angels, MI, and that one with Samuel L Jackson. ------------------ CUT Tino These Heaves are just getting Ridiculous!
I just wonder why they haven't made the movie version of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. No that's an effort I could get behind..... Oooh. Or even better: The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo (though it may not be the same without Claude Akins). ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
I think Lyle Odeelein of the Columbus Blue Jackets was screwed out of a role, he is a dead wringer for Cornelius!
