Heading out there tomorrow for my honeymoon for w eek. Going to the African safari wildlife park to zip line, checking out the Grand Canyon, and seeing the biosphere. Any great spots to check out? We are just renting a car and cruising.

Def want to check out some breweries, but my ex fiancée (wife) has celiacs so I can only go to 1 or so unless they have a cider.

    Thanks!

AZ is a great place for a road trip. Depending on how much time you have, here's my recommendation. My sons and I did this itinerary a few years back and had a blast.

    Beginning in Phoenix:
    - Head north on I-17 to Sedona
    - Continue north on I-17 to Flagstaff and check out the Lowell Observatory at night. Flagstaff is perfect for stargazing, plus you can see the telescope that discovered Pluto.
    - Head east on I-40 to Painted Desert & Petrified Forest National Park. Along this route, you can stop at a bunch of attractions and Route 66 stops, including Meteor Crater, Winslow (check out Standin' on the Corner Park), the Wigwam Motel, and more.
    - Head north on US-191 to the Four Corners and then just into Utah.
    - Head west on US-163 through the Navajo Nation to Monument Valley, which was perhaps my favorite part of the trip. Along the way, check out Gooseneck State Park.
    - Continue west on US-163 toward the Grand Canyon, stopping to see the roadside dinosaur tracks just east of Tuba City.
    - After seeing the Canyon, head south on AZ-64 to Williams, another great Route 66 town.
    - Go west, friend, on I-40 to US-93 and hit the Hoover Dam.
    - If you have any time left, you're on the doorstep to Vegas.

This is a huge road trip, but just thinking about it makes me want to do it all over again!

Breweries in northern Arizona (can't vouch for ciders):

    Grand Canyon (Williams)
    Oak Creek (Sedona)
    Mother Road (Flagstaff)
    Historic (Flagstaff)
    Lumberyard/Beaver St. (Flagstaff)
    Dark Sky (Flagstaff)
    Flag (Flagstaff)
    Wanderlust (Flagstaff)

I'm sure I left one off so many...

Agreed, definitely go to Oljato-Monument Valley and stay at The View Hotel, I was there a few weeks ago, and the view there is amazing.
