Um, if you're in Houston, I'd say Good Company on Kirby. But I haven't been there in a couple of years. I just know how much I miss it now that I'm not in Houston. I'm sure the good folks here on the BBS will have many more suggestions.
Best bar-b-que place? ...My backyard where I feature occaisional jackrabbit and nice squirrels of course.
Yup... the original Goode Co. BBQ on Kirby. It's right past 59 before Bissonett... If you've passed Bissonett, you've gone too far! I think they have the best BBQ chicken, tender, moist and falls off the bone... now don't get confused, there are THREE Goode Co. restaurants with a few hundred feet from each other. Goode Co. Seafood, Goode Co. Tacqueria & of course, Goode Co. BBQ... other standouts: Harris County Smokehouse way out off of 290 at 1960, big yellow building near a La Quinta (i think) Otto's on Memorial Demeris BBQ on Shepherd near Alabama
Thanks Rockhead, I'll probably bring everybody to the original Good Company. I'll pitch out the other restaurants that you recommended if they aren't up to going to Good Company.
Big Daddy's BBQ. Westheimer just east of Highway 6. As his billboard promotes: He'll take good care of you!
oh, and if the line is out the door and in front of the building, go ahead and wait, cause man, it's worth it... be sure to get the jalapeno cheese bread, it's made fresh and it tastes gooood!
We lived in LA for years and their BBQ tasted horrible also. (Maybe someday you could tell us if LA BBQ tastes like ass also, I couldn't tell you. )
