I'm just a messenger of the news I received today. I heard the NBA rejected the new Rocket Uniform designs for next year. Evidently, they were not too happy with the cutting edge makeover. Back to the drawing board from what I heard. Only thing is that the deadline is coming up very soon for next year so, there may be a possibility that the current uniforms will be back next year.

    Yeah right...

If the NBA approved the clown uniforms, then there's no way they can reject anything else...

That's interesting. I knew it was waiting to be approved. One of the holdups, I was told, was it did not include "HOUSTON" on the uniform. The NBA wanted that to be in there. How accurate that is though I don't know.

How crappy would it be not to have our new uniforms to go with the new arena for next season? That would royally suck. If this is indeed true, c'mon Rockets, get it together!

And why do the Rockets have to include the word "Houston" in their design? I don't see "Los Angeles" anywhere on the LAKERS jerseys? Some teams just go with their team mascot name on both the home and away jerseys.

    Tim, what's the story!?!?

Bring back the red and gold and end all the "cutting edge designs"......wasn't that what they said about the pajamas?

I wonder if this will increase the chances of having the red and gold back.

I can't imagine how bad the new uniforms must've looked for the NBA to give them the axe. And why didn't the uniforms have Houston on the road jerseys in the first place? Ugh.

Screw Stern. Les owns the team and should be able to have whatever uniform he wants(as long as the pinstrips and cartoonish rocket are gone ).

How can the team not be smart enough to have checked on what the league wants and does not want?

I mean if they wanted Houston on the jersey, you think someone in the Rockets org would have put that down as a prerequisite BEFORE they did the official design.

If all this is true it just shows a serious lack of professionalism in the Rockets organization.

I mean come on.....they did not check on what the league requires.

    Pathetic.

Agreed! This seems VERY odd! I just can't image a mistake this large would push back our uniforms another year!! Wish Tim would give us some confirmation on it.

BTW (just slightly jumping off topic for a second), speaking of new uniforms...the Cavs are premiering their new uniforms tomorrow night, the last game of the regular season. Pretty cool. Apparently NBA teams are supposed to wait until June to premiere new team imagery but they asked the NBA as a special request to do it on the last game of the season. Their colors are Wine Red, Metallic Gold and Blue. http://www.nba.com/cavs/

    Red and Gold eh? ;)

I don't get it? What's the ****ing holdup?

Give some of the photoshoppers here an hour and I guarantee they could whip out some kickass designs.

    Seriously...

I know ROCKET RICH NYC is a good source, but we don't have to castigate the organization yet about not being able to replace the PJ's... hopefully it's a minor problem that'll get cleared up in time. Man, I hope we get the new ones and they're cool. Besides, we've already got the insane season to castigate them about. It's not like we need anything else. I would have said "castrate them about", but I didn't want to appear sexist, lol. Everyone has suffered enough, Les. Make it happen.
