They're going to make it near impossible to do it. Good marketing idea though.

Do they even have to prove they didn't make it mathematically impossible?

There is probably code in the game where if that happens, the catcher will eventually drop a third strike and the batter will reach first.

this isn't even enough incentive for me to waste my time with a baseball game.

So does the computer have to be playing on butt-rape mode or something?

Aren't there sliders for hitting and pitching, too?

I'm confused as to how the red tape works on this.

They make you videotape it so if it's bogus, there's probably fine print regarding that

No - this isn't how it works. You have to play the computer on a specific level. Someone will win it - they said that people have pitched perfect games in the game in previous years.

It's simply a marketing expense for the company. The whole idea is to hype up the pre-sales because everyone will want to be the first to do it.

yea seriously. they didn't said they'll pay everyone who pitches a perfect game a mil. just the first. they probably spend more than that marketing the game.

Pitching a perfect game, on any difficulty setting, is easy. Pitch to batter one, get him out, save game. Repeat. If somebody gets a hit or a walk, reload the last save game. ;)

The "can" part has to do with the fact that it needs to be recorded and verified.
