Link Interesting, Sheed does expire after this season so I don't really know if this is a good idea. I wonder if Morey is interested. Since Rip is getting benched, why not offer Tracy for them both?
Oh boy, this again... *Edit* Its nothing bad, just seems McGrady's always linked to Piston rumors Itd favor the Rockets in the short term. Wallace could add a nice combo of height, outside shooting and defense, what the other Rox PFs dont have. He could be backup center when needed as well. Hamilton would be a good fit for the Rox offense, though he's signed through 2013... But if the Rockets already planned on bringing back McGrady but at a lesser amount then why not have that money on Rip instead? So it depends how much you want Rip Hamilton. I dont think bad enough. Also to consider is the Rockets possibly bringing back Artest. And Sheed with Artest, eeh.. though you could let them both walk.
I wouldn't trade McGrady over there because Rip had his contract extended. I'd do this trade McGrady for Prince and Rip. But... McGrady's 22 million is off the book in 2010. You never know...
Pistons are going to try to bring in another expiring contract player. I could possibly see VC getting traded there. They are only going to trade him for the 2010 free agent marketing like NY.
T-Mac would be a big bonus for them in terms of his contract expiring in 2010, but he has the same value here. If he doesn't accomplish anything that merits an extension, the Rockets can let him walk to join possibly the strongest FA field ever. At least in recent memory.
Rip Hamilton is getting benched? Why? When did this happen? Has played well the last few games. He is on my fantasy team.
Sheed and Artest on the same team with Stevie? Holy, we would have 3 former tech call leaders of the league on the same team. It would be funny to see Sheed trying to calm down Artest, or vice versa.
sheed is probably one of the best compliments to Yao, he's got a perimeter shot, height, plays d, and wins wherever he goes. he would be the starting PF + back up C, and giving up Mac for him and Rip is fair talent wise. but when you consider their contracts and the finance behind it ...
If we traded for Wallace; then practically speeking, either Scola, Landry or Hayes has to be included in that deal or another one. Otherwise 1 or 2 of them will waste away on the bench.
Seriously doubt Detroit is trading Sheed. IF they do it will be for another big man, they won't just throw in another starter, and they absolutely are not looking for more cap room (they already will have more than enough).
