Pippen in this offense?

Clearly, Scottie's time here in Houston didn't work out as planned, but how much of that was attributable to Rudy's ISO offenses? Scottie was never really a beat someone off the dribble kind of guy, didn't have a consistent jump shot either. Both are liabilities in an ISO type offense, especially in Hakeem's twilight years, where he didn't really command as many doubles as he did in the championship years.

I guess my question is, would Scottie have thrived in JVG's offense. One based more on cutting, passing, and movement without the ball?

I guess Rudy was counting on Barkley and Hakeem draw double teams and give Pippen some open jumper.

We really did not run an ISO style offense when he was here. The ball was still going through the low post with Barkley and Dream.

I would suit up the towel boy before I let Quitten wear a Rockets uniform again.

    Uhhh.....

Rudy was ISO-crazy! And why not - it won him 2 straight championships, and close to a third!

Hakeem was an "iso" player - everyone creates spacing and dumps the ball into him, then he operates and either scores or draws the double and kicks it out to a three point shooter

The Francis/ Mobley "iso" was an outside in style, rather than an inside out style. But both were "iso" offences!

As far as Pippen - who cares?????

I wouldn't consider the "post up" game an iso offense in comparison to the SF ero iso. And if you remember the games from those two years we had a lot of motion and running in our offense as well, very similar to the way we are playing now.

But in regards to your Pimpin' comment......right on!:D

That would have been the dumbest thing in the world, because Pippen is NOT a jump shooter. He is a guy that attacks the basket with vengeance, that is what he did in Chicago, and he was damn good at it.

Personally, I rather have the Mailman (and I can't stand him) than another dose of Quitten.
