Well I am just bored and wanted to start a debate(nothing personal or heated) I was just wondering if we still wouldn't trade Pippen for Sprewell. This question is directed to anyone who didn't want Spree at the time and anyone who wanted Spree. I want to know why you would still not want the trade or why you would. (Kagy I'm curious as to what you think on this)

I say no because then the Knicks would suck right now and I wouldn't have anybody to pull for.

Provided the Rockets can retain Mobley, they'll have the same sort of thing. What Mobley lacks in height he makes up for in spasticistity and gumption.

From what I heard the Rockets got a big laugh when Mitch Lawrence wrote on that rumor last year.... so I'm gathering it really never was discussed.

I did not want Sprewell then and I don't want him now, though I must admit he's played the role of "good boy" quite well.

Isn't it amazing however that a player can choke his coach and threaten to kill him, and in return get traded to a contender and get a ridiculously fat contract?

He's certainly talented though ... I'll give him that.

Maybe PJ is to blame for the choking.

Spree hasn't done anything out of hand since his suspsension....I would love to have him.

    Clutch,
P.J. Carlesimo got choked, so he's a saint in that deal? Spreewell is no angel, but P.J. gut under his skin purposely and regularly. P.J. has a reputation for being a ripping person with his words, and he directed them to a star on a slumping team too often.

People deserve second chances. N.Y gave Spreewell that chance. And if I could have picked between Mobley and Spreewell at that time, adios Mobley. In fact, adios Mobley today if we had the chance.

I see your point about personalities of players and how they can adversly affect team chemistry, but Spree has ignited the Knicks, not doused their flames. And I see no reason why that couldn't apply to our team.
