If you have "other" substances around it works much better than if you just try to watch it sober. My homeowners association did an outdoor movie last fall, the early show was Wizard Of Oz and the late show was Dark Side Of Oz. It made for a good night.

It's pretty close in alot of parts...

The alarm clock starts almost perfectly with the on screen of the old lady come to take Toto

Crescendos with Dorothy falling off the fence

The wailing lady during the house in the tornado scene

The infamous start of Money as the movie goes color.

That's as far as I am right now..... it definatley goes longer than ten minutes as I am 25 minutes into the clip and it still hits at some key spots.

I have never tried it but I have read many times that the band members have denied doing this on purpose.

Another one, supposedly, is the synchronization of the stargate sequence of 2001 with the Floyd song, "Echoes".

The first onscreen appearence of the Wicked Witch hits perfectly on the word black.

It actually works for the entire movie

You can download the movie with the audio taken out and replaced by the album from torrent sites and such.

"Balancing on the biggest wave" lyric as Dorothy is balancing on the fence of the pigpen.

The song "Money" kicks in just as the movie goes colorized

"The Lunatic is on the grass" lyric just as the Scarecrow begins jumping around on the yellow brick road.

The heartbeating just as the tinman is saying he needs a heart.

Seems like a lot of coincidences going on

Cool, but not as cool as "Echoes" and "Jupiter & Beyond" from 2001.

There is a bootleg DVD that an employee of Home Shopping Network made, I think in the 80's, called "Saucerful Of Floyd Videos". It has "Echoes" synched to NASA stock footage of the moon landing mixed in with parts of a 1920's film called "Trip To The Moon". It starts with the Astronauts suiting up and ends with them leaving the moon. It's absolutely incredible.

yes, the thing i would point out is that there are alot of lyrics that seem to be following the plot of the movie.

too much to be a coincidence, at least.

ya know, probably the most erie coincidence:

song: "Great Gig in the Sky"
    Scene: the tornado hits

    anyone else catch that?

    EDIT:

also, as soon as Dorothy is knocked out cold, The Great Gig in the Sky goes from the intense part of the song to the very mellow part

wow, after watching the first 3 minutes of that, i have no idea if it synchs up or not, but i do know i would rather be bludgeoned to death with a baseball bat than watch the final 21 minutes.

non-"another brick in the wall" pink floyd songs and 2001: a space odyssey, two of the things i hate most combined in one convenient video.

in all of the times i've ever caught parts of 2001 on tv and now this video, i have yet to see anything happen. ever. i just don't get the appeal.
