I remember seeing a floyd thread back in the day but went through many past threads to find it prior to posting this and had no luck.

Just bought the pulse dvd; and damn, it brought back all the memories and reasons why I loved this band in my younger years.

Any of you see David Gilmour while he was on tour this past year? Are there big Floyd fans out there?

Please share your experiences so I can reminisce

    cheers,

    g-

Here's one of the classics on the pulse dvd:

Yea...I'm a Floyd fan. I saw them on the their last two tours at the Astrodome(Momentary Lapse of Reason tour) and Texas Stadium(Division Bell tour) respectively. Those were unbelievable shows. I didn't see Gilmour his last tour but I have some boots of the Radio City shows he played.

I like to mimic Gilmour on guitar and I'm always learning something new when I'm listening to, or watching him, play the guitar. The Pulse DVD is good to watch to see how he plays some of that stuff. Playing Floyd is a good way to wind down from a stressful day. That's the best part is finding the zone when playing Floyd. I define the zone as clearing my mind, closing my eyes, dwelving into relaxation, and hitting all the right notes at the right times while mixing it up...playing in a lower or higher octave than usual, bends in different places, harmonics, tremolo , etc. .
