It is known that that the warriors have signed Croshere and Perovic. They are also looking for a traditional pass first backup to Baron Davis. Could there be a deal in the works perhaps for Rafer and either michael Pietrus or James Posey? Thoughts.
Given the contract numbers in the rumors, and the Rockets being over the tax limit, I don't see any reasons why Rockets gets involved in the Putrid/Pussey scenario.
We already have a younger, inexpensive version of those guys in Snyder. Besides... we need to keep Rafer. He was the starting point guard on a 50 win team last year and is the only true point guard with experience on our roster. I love the guard rotation of Rafer/James/Stevie... so much you can do with that trio.
a 50 win team, won't do it in the west. and a rotation of rafer/james/stevie, is not wat i call pleasant in the lockerroom. james didn't like minesota, cause he got benched for a rookie. he probaly thinks hes better than rafer, and heck even stevie. also, we don't need a true point guard with 2 superstars. rafer can't create for himself. if u can create for others, but u can't create for yourself, your useless. ppl gonna leave him wide open AGAIN. i rather trade rafer for a trade exception, cause we need more roster space, and we get some luxary cap relief
If we keep rafer that means no pt for aaron brooks and I would like to see him play this year and if we do end up keeping rafer I hope he's traded at the feb. trade deadline.
I think we are waiting until August 14th so we can include Reed in a trade. I think Rafer is as good as gone. I don't know if either Pietrus or Posey would be part of a Rafer/Reed deal, or if the salaries match, but out of the two, I would prefer Pietrus. DD
If you add in shooting skills, work ethic, ability to get along with others, and probably even more athleticism, than yes. Snyder could however probably be Posey, if he worked really hard and became super focused, but his development with 3 different coaches don't make it look promising. Adelman is somewhat different than th eother coaches, I admit, so Snyder has one more chance to prove he is a rotation player in this league.
With Francis and James, Luther and TMac (all who essentially do/can play some PG) Aaron Brooks ain't getting any PT unless he turns out to be rock solid. The chance of a 5'11" rookie being rock solid is slim to none. Francis comes off the books next year and James the year after. Brooks is a 3 year project. Get used to it.
Man..the Clippers are decimated. They are severely hurting with the loss of Livingston and Brand. We have too many players. Seems to me, they are the perfect team to be making deals with. Can we get Tim Thomas?
Yeah there isn't any PT for him unless there are injuries. Right now you could go with a 10 man rotation and get something like: Francis 32 minutes McGrady 32 minutes Battier 26 minutes Wells 26 minutes James 26 minutes Scola 20 minutes Hayes 20 minutes Mutombo 10 minutes Head 12 minutes That's about all Adelman can do excluding Yao trying to be as fair as possible.
Head is leaving dude. Brooks is gonna get Head's 10 plus he's gonna get a couple from Francis. He'll be playing 15 mpg by the end of the season.
brooks is our BEST PG. he has all the qualities a prototypical Adelman PG has, and he WILL take minutes from Francis i gaurantee you that. brooks is adelman's favorite he will get minutes trust me.
I think that's a pretty bold prediction - one that won't come true. It doesn't look like we're actively trying to trade Head and Morey made it clear that whoever we drafted this year wouldn't contribute this year. I like Brooks, and he may get minutes sporadically, but he's not gonna takes Head's minutes. I'm concerned Brooks is going to become the new V-Span with people throwing a fit that he's not getting enough playing time. We've got 3 point guards, all of who have been starters at one point in their career, ahead of him right now.
