Ironically, your story on JVG's fine is also under that photo. Nice!

BONUS: the chick on the top right of that photo is checking out Finley's glutes instead of his feet :D

Reading that recap again just got me all fired up.

Is it worth also mentioning that unless i'm remembering incorrectly Game 5 was also the game that Dirk had five fouls the entire 4th quarter, blantently body checked Sura near midcourt with no call. Then, later Dirk had that big over-the-back tip in that ended up being a huge difference in the game.

Wow, that playoff series really irks me. Not just the officiating, the self-destructing blunders on our end too. We should have had that series on ice!

they should just clean house of all the REFS and start with new refs for next year.....i think that is the only way for the NBA to start to bring their credibility back

Training refs isn't like training a McDonald's employee. There simply aren't enough quality refs in the league, and that's part of the reason why they brought back Joey Crawford, despite the whole Duncan fiasco.

then why is it that nobody in the NCAA complain about the calls as much as the NBA fans complain? Stern has messed up basketball in the NBA.

I was thinking about this and the game is a bit different in the NBA level.

    1. They are a lot bigger, stronger, faster and play more physical in the NBA which makes it harder to officiate.
    2. Players only stay in college a few years and there's a lot of player turnover. Therefore the refs won't know these players personally the way the NBA players know these refs. You can't talk to persuade these refs as much as the NBA because it's a lot more controlled in the NCAA's. In the NBA on the other hand the vets will talk and plead their case to the refs and after years of knowing each other naturally they will show vets more favoratism over rookies. Just look at the # of r****ded travelling calls against Scola last year. Then compare them to Vlade Divac's pivot feet when he's with Sacramento.

I think the key is consistency with these NBA refs. I just don't like it some days they let them play physical and get a way with murder and some days they call every handcheck & palming. Most of the time the entire flow of the game will change depending on these zebra's mood to call it tight or let them play. And this causes the biggest confusion among the players and fans.

the refs also cheated us in game 4. we should have won this in 5, if not then, game 6 was ours easily.

people are going to say, well if they were good, they would have won game 7. well no, that's not the case.
