Well last night was the first time I have ever seen the Rockets play live and I got caught in a terrible traffic jam on I 70 and showed up midway through the second quarter. it was a great game and I wish I would have seen it all.

Heres my take: Brown played most of the game and had a quicker first step than I had ever imagined. He was playing against Portland's better players and did a good job. He had a few real explosive cross overs which got "uuuuu's and ahhhh's" from the crowd. He is better than I thought he was. Kenny is thin thin thin and looks like a wing player, but wasn't playing much there. He played hard and looked good in the paint. Torres played a whole lot and played as good of deffense as anyone, but his offense looked poor to me. Maddox looked really shaky and turned the ball over alot. It seemed to me that Rudy had Brown , Torres, and Maddox out there alot to see which 2 he will keep (but that is just my opinion, and judging by last night Id say Maddox looked the worst, but I know his contract is different from the others). Taylor played alot of 5 because Cato looked like crap and was in foul trouble. Cato missed a wide open 1 foot layup that he could ahev dunked and made a couple bad passes. Mo loooked fit and healthy and I thought he played the 5 well. Rudy played groups alot in the second half. One group was Brown, Torres, Rice, Thomas, and Taylor. He also used this group in the crucial moments in the game: Brown, Maddox, Nachbar, Griffin, and Taylor. Ediie hit a few big shots, and Nachbar drained a sweet looking 3. Eddie's D was good, but from what I watched last night Nachbar has alot of work to do defensively. His closeouts were so bad I would sit one of my high school players for doing the same thing.

One very interesting matchup was Q. Woods and Nachbar. I cant help but to think that Woods was thinking about Boki being drafted ahead of him. Woods responded well and his clutch shooting coupled with Boki's closeouts and defense is what kept Portland ahead in the final minutes. And on a final note I loved some of what Rudy did offensively. He ran alot of penitrate and pitch and did a real nice job using penitration to free up shooters. This was without Francis and Cat, so I really belive that shooting the ball welll will make this team very hard to guard when coupled with good penitration and a legit post player.

I was very happy to meet saleem at the game and I have alot of good pics, but I do not know how to post a pic if it is saved on my hard drive, can someone please help me with this.

your very welcome, I hope yu were not in the traffic jam I was in. My only chance to see the Rockets play and I move 4 miles in over an hour!!! I was livid. I still need help on how to post pics from my hard drive. I have 75 of them and 5 or 6 really nice shots, many of Nachbar and Griffin, plus a pick of me and Glen Rice and me and saleem!

c'mon rockHead take that lame Holden crap somewhere else.

Drex 22, thanks for the cool game report. I enjoyed reading it, thanks again.

Cato is an embarrassment out there. Its good to hear that
Rudy is playing Mo Taylor at center some, hopefully once Ming is here, Cato's ass will be glued to the end of the bench.

Sorry for the delay, but there's a time difference.

To show pics, you need a web server to save the pictures to and then you can link to them there. Anyway, here's the link...

Thank you so much GB this was my big chance to contribute to the board. Saleem and I were both happy to be there and get a chance to report, I am just sorry that I didn't do a better job researching how to post pics before I typed my report. Now I am afraid that my efforts have been overshaddowed by Ming's arrival, but thats fine with me. I hope everyone enjoys my pictures. Nice job with the links....enjoy everyone.

Last 2 photos are of me and Rice and Saleem and Rice. Rice is a really nice guy. I had so much fun. Thank you guys for the help. This is my one chance to contribute. Judging by the attendance St. Louis isn't going to get a team anytime soon.
