Just standing outside the 3 point on offense minding my own business when the jackass guarding me turns around too quick and head butts my face. Pretty crappy Friday night emergency room trip on a mini vacation to Austin. Ruined the rest of my stay (renting a boat, barton springs, sweating in excess) because of the super glue holding my cut together can't get soaked. /rant
I was going to (been looking forward to playing at gregory for 2 weeks) , but the rec people said i had to go.
Like a little blood ever hurt anybody. I've played with blood pouring out of my knee. I had a soaked sock when we finished.
That sucks, man. Freak injuries are the worst, but at least this one shouldn't keep you from playing for too long. Just curious, why didn't they stitch that up? I have seen that bondage glue work its magic a few times, but never on a gash that is that wide.
I don't know. It seems pretty well put together. I would've needed to get a tetanus shot if I had to get stitches. Not having insurance is fantastic.
Tough luck man. I've gotten a laceration between my fingers (the webby part) from trying to block a pass that was thrown like a football at greg. 5 stitches cost $350 without insurance. I thought my adrenaline could overcome the pain of getting stitches (for the first time) but it really does feel like picking sewn together. I just had to laugh through the whole thing to keep from crying. ='(
I was pretty happy when he told me that super glue might do the trick. Stitching technology hasn't improved much aside from sterilization.
you're game is a cut above the rest of us. you're also a great slasher without the ball. and it's not a good idea to leave you wide open.
