I know there was a topic on this already because I remember seeing it, however I tried the search feature and was not allowed access. Anyway did anyone catch the season finale? I have to say I do not watch any shows regularly but this one really caught my interest. Not only did I enjoy the shows but started researching "the Game" and I have to say its changing my life.
I wouldn't suggest you become too involved in the "PUA community". It's good to have some common sense when it comes to girls but alot of these guys in the "PUA community" become so absorbed with this "art" they end up becoming bigger douches than before. Just some common sense as: being confident, not being needy, staying mysterious. Don't worry too much about things like "peacocking" or "sets" or whatever. I never pay attention to that crap.. Just do what feels right/natural but act like a hot commodity. Not like a wuss.
I've been watching it from the tivo with my daughter. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. She's learning how to open and run sets. Just a useful little life-skill, even on the playground.
Man if a guy like mystery who wears goggles and fur cap can get so many girls he must be doing something right and kosmo is an actor.
OK I went out to Rice Village tonight with a couple of my friends. I had an OK game before. I was always a good talker and was able to make new friends easily. However tonight was the first night that I used some of the techniques I learned. I have to say from personal experience... THIS SH*T WORKS! It is incredible the difference that it made. By the end of the night I got 3 numbers very very easily (on a scale of 1-10 2 were 8's and 1 was a 9). It had nothing to do with confidence at all (even though I have always been somewhat of a confident guy) but it had all to do with competence. I just followed some of the things I learned to a "T" and voila, I was money. It all boils down to evolution, instinct and survival techniques. Physical appearance, in the end, had very very little to do with it. Even though some people might think its shallow or desperate I am here to argue it is nothing of the sort. Beautiful women have been manipulating men for centuries and this is nothing more than holding your own. For anyone who is single I highly highly reccomend looking more into this. It can be applied to everything in your life from securing better jobs to being able to make friends and enjoying your life more. For anyone who wants to hate on it "dont knock it till you tried it."

I read Neil Strauss' (Style) book "The Game" a while back and then moved on to some other stuff by guys in the community. The techniques they use DEFINITELY do work. Pretty much everyone is skeptical at first, but their stuff is legit. I liked watching the show because after reading the book, it's like you're actually seeing the stuff talked about in the book. I just need to see the finale now.
I watched this show casually for almost the whole season. A lot of it was REALLY cheesy (forced catch-phrases like "it's game over" or "take this medallion...you've earned it" etc.) but I liked it overall. Only thing I didn't like was the guy who won wasn't a complete dork like the rest of them. Despite the fact that he looked like one of those Gotti kids, he wasn't a bad looking dude. I would have liked to see them turn a TOTAL LOSER into a pickup artist instead of a decent looking guy who I'm convinced is an actor. I was pulling for the fat guy. He seemed to make the most strides.
I have no doubt that it works if you're trying to pick up aimless shallow club-goers. The only thing this skillset will get you is an easy piece of an ass on Saturday night and a mentally unstable clinger for the next couple of weeks.
whatever.... All of these shows, books, magazines, and everything else are all a load of crap. All you need is one thing: CONFIDENCE. Clean up, dress decent, dont act like a complete cheese dick - and it's easy to meet girls - just be cool. Its not rocket science.
I watched the show because I had read "The Game" previously. Then, I found out it was filmed in Austin, so that was a reason to watch as well. I wasn't impressed with it as a show, though. "The Game" is definately an interesting read.
I caught this show late one night and I watched it and also couldn't believe the cheesiness that was involved. But I guess the thing that shocked me the most is that the dude who has all these tips and is this pickup god is Tommy Lee with a furry hat on! I died laughing when I saw this freak tell these dudes if they got a medallion or not.
I watched the whole season, mostly for the crash and burn. I found it funny as hell to watch these guys completely bomb. And I think Mystery has some sort of goggle fetish.
I doubt that physical attractiveness has nothing to do with it. A girl isn't going to like some dude that isn't her type just because he can run a "set." I know I wont date girls Im not physicall attracted to, no matter how confident or funny they are. Those are called "friends."
Haha Matador does make me laugh. As far your comments Antisonic, I have to respectfully disagree. If you don't like meeting "shallow girls in clubs" don't go to them. These techniques are not for only clubs or sleazy bars. As a matter of fact I just got back from the grocery store and had a really great conversation with 2 very nice girls. Wether I sleep with them or not it doesnt matter, what matters is that it was a pleasant fun interaction and I may pursue it in the future if I want to. It's not really a guide on how to have a 1 night stand (although if thats what you want thats what you can get). Basically its about using women's own hardwired instincts to your advantage. Sluts, prudes, ugly, pretty, fat, skinny, professionals, models, students, they are instinctive creatures just like guys are. When you understand that and are able to utilize it to your advantage you have one of the greatest gifts any guy could want whether your married or single. Drewdog as far as your comments I see what your saying and respect it. Thats fine however I also have to disagree. Its not just about confidence. I am and have always been a very confident guy. I'm young, run my own business, and travel all over the world. I have been with incredibly gorgeous women from many different countries. Personally I feel like I didn't really need to know any of this because my game was fine. However after looking into it I learned so much more about myself and women. I cannot think of any guy in this world who would not benefit from it. Once again this is not really about being a player or pimp or whatever. Its about understanding the social dynamic of women and men and why it is they do the things they do and make the choices they make.
