What college football programs do you like most(maximum 3 teams)? It seems there are so many passionate college football fans here in this board, so I just throw the question here. Mine are: TCU--Alum Texas --My wife is a Horn ND --Independent/class.
Texas State--where i go to school Texas--from austin, both my parents went there, like i have a choice but to be a horns fan there really isn't a third. i liked Florida State back when they had charlie ward and warrick dunn but i really don't root for them anymore, and i liked North Carolina back when mack brown was the coach and they had leon johnson at running back.
1. Miami - fan since '83 2. Georgia - almost went to school there; I have a lot of family from Georgia (Rome, Atlanta, and Cartersville) 3. tough to say but I guess my alma mater, Middle Tennessee State University ALTHOUGH they really should be playing I-AA instead of I-A. They used to be one of the most dominant programs in I-AA and they haven't done **** in I-A like so many other former I-AA programs.
1. Texas- I go to school here now and we have a great team this year. 2a. Miami 2b. Florida State- I used to want to go to school there and really liked them back in both of their dominant days. But I really don't root for any other team besides Texas.
1. Texas - I live here 2. Florida State - Been a fan since I was little 3. Nebraska - Wife is from there
I like Texas, Miami, and Georgia. I have no relations to any of those schools. Texas cause I know of players on that team. Miami, cause I like the gangster element of the team. Georgia, because southern girls from the metro atl area are cute.
1. Iowa - been going to games since before I could walk. 2. Big 10 teams over Non-Big 10 teams. 3. Whatever team is not picked to win.
University of Florida - Currently a student here. Also born in Florida (even though I lived there only for a total of about 2 years before coming to college here). Ohio State - Father went to college there and I grew up watching them as my favorite college team. Was also offered a 3 year scholarship from them, but turned it down for a 4 year scholly at UF. Air Force Academy - Father is in the Air Force - have gone to a bunch of their games (gotta love the option offense). I contemplated going to the AF Academy (I got accepted under both Presidential and Senate nominations), but decided to go ROTC at UF. Eventually decided 1 1/2 years later that I'd rather pursue a different route in life and will now be going to law school next year. Strange to have ties to 3 very different teams, but I take pride in having a connection to all of them instead of arbitrarily liking a team without a real tie to them.
Texas - alum LSU -- just because their fans are terrific Houston -- because they are in my hometown. Wish they were good because that would make tailgating alive over at U of H.
1. Texas Tech- currently a student there. And followed them pretty closely a few years before I got up here. 2. Notre Dame- My favorite team growing up. I remember I had a #3 Notre Dame jersey and some of my teachers were like you a Joe Montana fan? I was like no I'm a Ron Powlus fan that got some chuckles from my coaches. 3. Miami- They've grown on me over the past couple years. I appreciate greatness and nobody produces better NFL players than Miami.
1A. Alabama - Permanent residence just blocks away from Bryant-Denny Stadium and the University since '99. I never cared for college sports until I moved from Houston. Amazing struggles and triumph in recent years; oh and the best histroy/tradition in college football. The Bear. 1B. Miami - Currently a student; went to the Peach Bowl last year. What a place for football where when the team loses more than one game, it's as if they went winless and the coach is always on the hot seat. Also awesome to have class with Kyle Wright, Willie Williams, Lance Leggett, Charlie Jones, and Kirby Freeman. And my newly autographed Devin Hester #4 jersey solidifies my spot for favorite player. Look for The U to be a top-3 team at the beginning of next year. 3. [Any team that defeats Texas] ========= Best/worst case scenario this Bowl season: Miami v. Alabama in the Peach/Gator Bowl.
