He took off several years of wear and tear off his knees with those injuries on his ankles. His mileage is low so he still has alot to give imo for a few years.
Anyone here wonder why Lakers have so many home games in beginning of season? Did they have it last year too? I know Lakers are for good, but having so many home games to practice and have momentum at beginning of season helps.
If i m not wrong, for the last few season the lakers have had more home games than other teams in the begining of the season!
Honestly what I feel the league, and maybe more specifically, Stern does, is to give the "big-market" teams a more favorable home schedule to start the season. Then teams like the Rockets that aren't expected to do much, get tougher schedules so that a "Cinderella" team can emerge later, when in fact, said "Cinderella" team was always good but had to climb out of a hole due to the tough early schedule. Meanwhile, the "big-market" teams appear to struggle a bit at the end if the momentum isn't enough, only to turn it up in the playoffs thereby creating "drama" in the season. Sorry for all the quotations.
They have Oscar and Grammy in January and have to go on a long road trip at that time. I think that started last year and they probably will have early home heavy schedule every year since.
That's too much conspiracy. It's still 41-41 however you schedule. If Lakers suck early, they don't have a chance to make it up in 2nd half. That's "half glass full" and how you want to view it.
