I know there are some PS whizzes out there on this site and I need some help

Can anyone tell me how you take a picture and make it grayscale, but also make the entire background all black.

    Desaturate <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVQurL4-HhA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVQurL4-HhA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Alternatively: in menus: Image -- Mode -- Grayscale

to make background all black ... select background then use then menu: Edit -- Fill -- black (opacity 100%)

the hard part will be selecting the background ... many ways you can do this, some easier than others depending on the image you're editing.

Extract foreground from background like they show in the video. Fill background w/black. Convert to Grayscale or desaturate.
