I'll start. Today I noticed a green earring on my patio dog. Did the caterpillar have a sense of humor? Ever seen a Monarch chrysalis hanging in such a a cute spot?
Thanks. Well, my patio dog doesn't bark, run away, chew anything up, bite anyone, dig or poop in the yard, and never tramples through my garden. I don't need to take it to the Vet, and it doesn't need shelter from scorching heat or freezing weather. I don't have to feed it or take it to a kennel if I go out of town either. I can't teach him tricks, but if I put him in the sun for a few hours then his lantern will light up at night. Now if I can get a shot of the Monarch butterfly coming out of the chrysalis hanging from his ear that would really be cool. I hope it doesn't die if it freezes.
Monarchs are supercool, and are becoming more endangered by the year. Read up on them, and their migration.
I had a couple of house-crashing buddies back in Houston who should have been nicknamed "patio dog". Deb's statue is obviously more useful than they were.
