Is very mediocre. One thing is for sure, Amare's not their most valuable player. Time and time again, they have been exposed this when they are without their starting PG. Their offense drops and they lose to teams below .500 like the the Heat.
Of course, got to give credit to D-wade, but come on. You have shaq and they have haslem. How can u not exploit that?
Without Nash, the Suns are broken. Same song every year. Even with Nash, their team isn't a Finals contender this year. It's good to see Wade and the Heat bounce back after disgracing themselves in Portland.
Exactly. The last few years, every time Nash has missed a few games, the Suns looked awful and lost more than they won. I'm sure the same thing is true with Paul and the Hornets. It makes you realize how important a good PG is! (hint, hint)
I wasn't referring to Brooks actually, even though I am one of the few that thinks Alston is bad enough (especially for this team as constructed) that Brooks should start. I was really pointing solely at Alston. Brooks is still best suited as a backup, in my opinion. A good starting PG would take the Rockets to a different level more than any other upgrade the way I see it, even more than adding much needed frontcourt length.
rool: Derrick Rose. rool: Someone who we could actually afford but is out of our reach... I traded rafer for him in 2k9 and damn is he good.
I guess I jumped to conclusions because I sure as hell was thinking about Brooks. Sometimes my displeasure with Rafer blinds my senses. The rest of your points are dead on. We need Brooks to come off the bench since we need his energy and scoring abilities with our 2nd unit. Unfortunately, that means that Rafer has to start due simply to no other option. If Morey could somehow work his greatest miracle of landing a reliable consistant starting PG, this team would be immensely improved.
