I heard Rudy T say that Eddie was going to play tonight, and that he didn't play the last time because of matchup problems..
Which matchup problems? Give me a break! If that is what he is selling, then I am not buying. It just does not add up. Although I may be wrong, EG had to have been in the dog house! The aim is to get EG as much playing time as possible. That is more important that matchups. In addition, we controlled the game from the 2nd q, matchups was not a problem. I also think that he wanted to get Williams on track.
Rockets 110 76ers 76 Francis 30 pts 10 reb 10 asst 5 steals Mobley 25 pts 7 reb Dr. G 11 pts 11 reb 6 blocks Cato 1 pt 1 reb 1 block
That's what I heard on the Rudy T show, and I want to see Griffin get as much playing time as anybody.
Rockets 99 Philly 94 in overtime I hate to say it but this is one of those games we lost last year. Hopefully one of the changes has been a new 'killer instinct' for destroying the weak and indigent. We need some pigs for the first 3 quarters then a few pit-bulls in the fourth.
Rockets 117 Philadelphia 118 Steve Francis will have a career-ending ankle injury in the 4th quarter. After the game Cuttino Mobley will openly question whether or not he wants to remain on a Steve-less Rockets team...
I think we'll be lucky to score 95pts tonight. This will be one of our early test against a premier defender in Mutombo. It will be interesting to see, but if Harpring is going off and Coleman too, I don't see why the rooks can't get any run. Francis will have his hands full with Claxton, the guy is super quick. We should win, but it will be closer than people think.
I see potential here. Anyone know what the highest scoring backcourt in a single game record is? Tonight could be the night. All we have to do, is keep Coleman OR Claxton in check. Coleman's outta shape, so maybe KT's quickness will do us some good tonight? Rockets 100 Philly 88 Steve Francis 30pts 5reb 4assists Mobley 32pts 4 reb 6assists KT OR Griffin 14pts 9reb
Rockets - 965 76ers - 1 Francis 900 points, 30 assists, 73 rebounds Mobley 65 points, 100 assists, 34 steals EG 76 blocks, 145 rebounds Mutombo 1/59 freebies Claxton 0/67 field goals Coleman 0/30 field goals Seriously..... Rockets - 105 76ers - 98 Francis 38 points, 11 rebs, 10 assists - absolutely abuses Claxton Mobley 26 points, 4 steals Cato 8 points, 9 rebs, 4 blocks G-Money - 17 points, 5/8 3pt
Rockets - 98 Philly - 85 I say we control the game throughout. Scrubs play the fourth and Steve gets a much deserved rest.
Rockets 101 sixers 92 Cat 19 pts. 14 reb. 3 blk. 4 stl. Steve 27 pts. 6 reb. 1 blk. 5 ass. 2 stl. KT 15 pts. 8 reb. 1 blk. 2 stl. Griffin 6 pts. 4 reb. Torres 2 pts. 1 reb. 1 blk. This is exactly what will happen.
Rockets 107 Philly 85 Blowout, it is on national TV time for everyone to step up. Can't wait to hear Charles take on the team. Too bad I can't watch it live. Since I have a 3 year old son, I don't watch the games live, I record them and watch em at like 10pm, only takes an hour though. DaDakota
I don't buy that Mutombo will make this a low scoring game, you saw what Washington did. If Houston is on their game they should win going away. Iverson is out with an injury, Geiger is hurt, McKie is back but not at 100%, Coleman is hurt, Harping is suffering from a foot injury, etc. I think, if anything, the Rockets defense should give Philly trouble. I say the Rockets in double digits.
